timetrial3141592 Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 Okay, I freely admit that my parks have been a bit... RCTish. This is going to change for this park. I am using a fresh version of my IH bench (download on request) and am theming all my coasters (and a few flat-rides). Of course, this is not a "theme park", as I still cannot do that. However, it is coming along nicely. Rides Corkscrew: You'll flip for this coaster! It packs three inversions (double corkscrew and loop), airtime, and a helix into a small area! (Built by Vekoma) Viscerator: Chance Double Inversion in a metal box. Mine Shaft: Mine-themed Space Shot Cyclone: Cyclone clone(ish) with custom supports. Racer: Custom-supported version of John's Deep Valley Racer. Nemesis: I took the basic concept of Alton's Nemesis and put my own spin on it. It is a "cliff-terrain" coaster (i.e. I raised a bunch of land around it instead of digging pits) with five inversions. Lightning: Not completely supported yet, but this "double-double out-and-back" (you'll see) packs a serious punch. And, of course, a bunch of flats (one predesign: the Monster Trucks.) Pictures will arrive soon!
coastercrazed49 Posted May 6, 2007 Posted May 6, 2007 Sounds cool, and you have a good selection of rides. Cant wait to see the Pics!
timetrial3141592 Posted May 9, 2007 Author Posted May 9, 2007 Pics up! Comments would be nice. And, of course, the overview. What do you think? Air, with the underground portions exposed. (Oops.) Air sans trees again (notice the pretzel loop and its unorthodox exit.) Air sans trees. More Air! Air! Oops... Nemesis is caught in the open. It's Nemesis, THROUGH THE TREES!!!!! More flats. Here are a few flats. Okay, enough Lightning. Here's Racer. Can you guess what inspired it? Lightning's pretzel turnaround and simple turnaround. Lightning's insane turnaround/dogleg thing, and its S-bend. Lightning's dogleg. Lightning's last TA, and some other bits of track. Top of lift, first drop, and a bunch of track hidden by the lift supports. Lightning's station and pre-lift fun. The "kink" in the lift is not a mistake; it facilitates 7-train operation. (Yes, you read that right: seven full trains!) Cyclone. Took forever to support. Corkscrew.
Ccron10 Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 Air and Nemesis looks really great and so do some of the other coasters. I think you could add a station building around Racer, but becides that, not bad.
timetrial3141592 Posted May 9, 2007 Author Posted May 9, 2007 I tried to build a station for Racer, but I was hampered by the 10' height clearance for paths (like the ones running under the ride). If I left them there, I wouldn't have an even floor. If I want a floor, I have to raise the coaster (which means redoing all the supports) or lower the paths (which means underground pathing for no reason... ugh) or remove clearances (which I think I will go do.)
timetrial3141592 Posted May 10, 2007 Author Posted May 10, 2007 Sorry for the double post, but I finished Racer's building. Here you go, Ccron.
timetrial3141592 Posted May 13, 2007 Author Posted May 13, 2007 Sorry to triple-post, but I added two more coasters (and a few more flats). I think these will be the last, as I am running out of flat-rides and do not wish for coasters to outnumber flats (like they usually do). The two coasters are: Beastie: a small coaster for those who can't face things like Nemesis. Rex Gravitorum: An Intamin plug-and-play with more airtime than Balder. I will post pics soon, probably as an edit to this post.
