live2tell75 Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 Hey everyone, Today I got to spend a great day with some former TPR UK trip particpants, Ted and Catrina. It was nice hanging out catching up with these Coaster Fanatics. The weather was very perfect, not to hot and not to cold. The park was pretty empty, walk-ons on Shiekra and Montu! Onto the pics: Ted and Catrina waiting to experience "the sting" of the Scorpion. The very cool view from the first drop. Darn, Shiekra was a walk on. The always cool Shiekra. As you can tell, The Desert Grill was packed!

Ted and Catrina were happy that Montu was a walk on. Catrina and I before riding my favorite inverted coaster, Montu. Enjoying all the Fall Haverst theming throughout the park.

I wish you both the best of luck. We'll have to get together again! Thanks for reading. We all agreed our desserts were all Yumo! And I am in total love with my dessert. Catrina looks like she wants her banana split. I think Ted is really happy to eat his ice cream crepe. Ted and I had to give Guazi some love today. The happy couple. Awh how cute! The birds in Lory Landing were kind of evil! (checkout Ted's TR, you'll see the birds were not to friendly with me). Kumba was smoother than my recent visits.
live2tell75 Posted November 7, 2006 Author Posted November 7, 2006 I forgot to point out something that everyone probally already knows, 85% of Congo is now walled off. Even the Congo River Rapids was closed, but I think that is just for seasonal maintance. No more white tigers for a long time. I'm sure whatever they do in that area will be very cool. Also it was mentioned on the train ride that the Sky Ride will be closed until January, because of construction in Narobi. I think it is because of the animal habitat by the Narobi train station.
