I finally had a chance to Ride The Timber Tower at Dollywood. And personally, Im glad I didnt waste my time waiting in hour long lines before hand.

My husband and I took a day trip Friday, and there wasnt hardly any lnes on any of the rides! I think we did have a 5 minute wait on the Thunderhead at the end of our day there. But when we arrived, we were the first riders of the day. The park looked so desolate compared to its weekends, I was amazed and greatful for the peace.

After the Thundrehead, we went over to the TimberTower, which was stuck with people on it. Then it was closed down.

As a season passholder to Dollywood (as well as Kings Island), I was not too surprised it was closed, it has been alot this summer.

My children have rode it most of the summer, and seeem to really enjoy the TimberTower. But when my husband and I rode it, we werent too thrilled. It was slow moving, round and round, with a few dips to each side. Needless to say, It actually made me yawn.

Maybe some riders enjoy it, but for me, I wasnt pleased. my children still like it, and gladly will ride again...me... Id wait until better Rides open in the Future.

I remember when Huss started pushing these things. It was like they wanted to seek a thrill audience for a family type ride. It looked really impressive on paper, but once you saw or rode it, it was obvious that this was one of those over-hyped rides.
