Chain lift launch

I think this question is asked some times before, but how do you really make a straight chain lift launch in Rct2?

Open up the 8 car trianer and go to the Rides drop down tab.

 

Click edit rides and find the ride #.

 

Then choose the desired speed for the lift. the click Apply (not Okay) if it works then click Okay if not build the ride first then choose the lift speed.
