goleafsgo Posted July 22, 2006 Author Posted July 22, 2006 i think having more than 1 launched lift hill things completly takes away from the point of having a height limit...

asr Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 New Multi-Million dollar atraction at Albuquerque Amusment Park July 22nd, 2006 A brand new, massive multi-looping rollercoaster rises above the desert sand dunes of New Mexico at Albuquerque Amusment Park, towering 140 feet above sea level, and taking a 124 foot plunge down a hillside into a unique, action packed layout. "Declassified: Area 51 is a world class looping coaster like nothing else in the world, with five inversions ranging from a Corkscrew loop above a man-made lake to a pre-lift "JoJo Roll" element, plus several high-banked turns and hills", park spokeswomen Linda Harrison was quoted as saying at a press conference earlier today. The new ride is a 10 million dollar plus steel roller coaster built by renowned Swiss manufacturers Bolliger and Mabillard. The 3,450 foot long scream machine has 5 acrobatic inverting elements that will make the riders fell like they are in a fighter jet high above the famed Area 51, a Loop, "Immelmann" an element named for famous fighter pilot Max Immelmann, a Zero G roll, which consists of a twist at the top of a hill, a Corkscrew loop, and a JoJo roll, a full 360 degree track twist located just before the first hill. The Ride is scheduled too open later this summer. Several new pictures have been released at the press conference. http://img119.imageshack.us/img119/1484/area51themedrl5.png The new ride is heavily themed, with several animatronics, props, and tunnels placed around it's some 2 thirds of a mile tracks layout. http://img111.imageshack.us/img111/3848/area51theminghn9.png The theming is designed to mimic the look of a top-sceret, high tech goverment reaserch facillity as closly as possible, including several buildings and alien machinery placed around the ride. http://img111.imageshack.us/img111/9669/area51station2fg2.png The high-tech station has a distinctive, ominous appearence. http://img111.imageshack.us/img111/5705/area51station1zb5.png No expensense was spared inside. http://img112.imageshack.us/img112/9353/area51jojoah5.png The rides unique "JoJo Roll" element consists of a 360 degree twist in the track just before the 140 foot ascent. The element is "heartlined" meaning the track twists so the riders heart is always in the same place, minimizing dangerous forces. http://img112.imageshack.us/img112/7607/area51frontgz2.png The rides first half contains two massive inversions, which are negotiated slowly, providing the thrill of hanging at the top, as well as two tunnels. Don't forget to smile for the camera in the second tunnel! http://img119.imageshack.us/img119/1263/area51backos5.png The ride's second half is made up of tight turns, which induce lateral forces throwing the rider to the side, creating the sensation of being thrown from the car, as well as a thrilling corkscrew loop and a harpin turn inside a pitch-black tunnel. http://img112.imageshack.us/img112/3944/area51nighttw9.png The ride is an impressive sight, towering above the dunes at the back entrance too the park.

thomas2 Posted July 23, 2006 Posted July 23, 2006 Meteor Mash is a loopingcoaster built in an old crater on a far away, sci-fi landscape. goleafsgo Posted July 23, 2006 Author Posted July 23, 2006 i think having more than 1 launched lift hill things completly takes away from the point of having a height limit...
thomas2 Posted July 23, 2006 Posted July 23, 2006 ^If this applies to me: I've only one launched lifthill so that doesn't apply for my coaster. It clearly says more than 1 launched lifthill.
goleafsgo Posted July 23, 2006 Author Posted July 23, 2006 what i meant was only one piece of track that has the launched thing on it. you have like 5 or so... having the height limit makes it harder because you cant make alot of big inversions and whatnot...
thomas2 Posted July 23, 2006 Posted July 23, 2006 Oh sorry I misunderstood that. May my coaster enter anyway?
goleafsgo Posted July 23, 2006 Author Posted July 23, 2006 okay, i guess if everyone is doing it then you can have a luanched lift hill... i guess ill just have to rebuild mine...
