  1. In the summer, it is a great theme park. The park has a fine collection of roller coasters, and the grounds are amazingly beautiful with areas that carry the theme of various countries. On a chilly December day, all the major rides were closed except DarKoaster (which is indoors). Closed all day due to "cold" were InvadR, Tempesto, Verbolten, Rhine River Cruise, Alpengeist, Apollo's Chariot, Griffon, & Pantheon. Even the train was not running, although it tooted occasionally. Before paying $38 for parking and $41.99 per person there should be a warning that almost all the rides are closed. Even the sign near the front of the park dishonestly (some would say fraudulently) claimed only that Loch Ness Monster was closed. The parking fee is (as far as I can discern) not mentioned on web site, which is a bit dishonest, because it is not some nominal fee, but rather a fee about as much as the theme park entrance ticket. In the summer you could look forward to Loch Ness Monster, which runs smoother than before, and is better themed. Pantheon is a spectacular coaster, with inline dynamic boosters that accelerate forward and backward. Verbolten is a nice coaster with a hidden secret for you first-timers (no spoilers here). Grifffon, Appollo's Chariot, Tempesto, and Alpengeist are all good solid experiences, that I could do repeatedly (when lines permit). DarKoaster is a tight-looping indoor coaster, which tends to have very long lines due to only seating 10 riders at a time. It is not as good as Space Mountain at Disneyland, but is a fun experience. We always plan to get over to Germany for lunch, because the FestHaus has a delicious German feast with (if you time it right) a performance on the center stage. Between the coasters there are some nice slower rides (such as the Rhine River Cruise), gardens, Lorikeets, and other amusements.
