  1. Those are some massive wheels! X's road wheels or upstop wheels arent that big. The guide and X wheels looks about the same though.
  2. It seriously takes a long time! You guys try checking those seats in a sweltering heat wave. Wears out your back! I hear people all the time yapping in my ear that were taking too long. I just give them the look. Cant wait for the T.R.
  3. I havent a clue wtf they are, but here they are: EJ Test Seats Pic.1 EJ Test Seats Pic.2
  4. They're not so much test headrests as they are just an earlier version of them. To get some things straight here: The equipment that was brought by S&S to be tested on X for EJ was ONLY the pickle fork. The seats (harness, headrest, etc) are actual X seats that were attached to the EJ frame. Thats it. The black headrests that are on the X train now are the regular head rests, that were repadded, but not painted. Nothing of EJ is on the X train right now. Yes, the EJ stuff is still under the storage track, in a crate. I took a picture, but it was at night. Ill post em up later.
  5. ^Noooo, those black headrests are park of the X train...and are still there. To cheap to paint yellow thats all.
  6. The test seats for EJ are still at X under the storage track. If anyone notices, on the pillar where the head rests are, theres a box in the middle. Im not to sure what that box is, but its 100% identical to the test seats that were used on X, because at one point, S&S did test EJ stuff on X a while ago, and they used some parts from the train that was in rehab at the time. Im gonna snag a few pics for you guys tomorrow.
  7. I sure hope that one day X will do this. There are supposedly 3 X trains as well, but only 2 are at SFMM right now. It sucks when one breaks down, because then it drops to single train op, which totally sucks! Its gonna totally suck right now because last week was the last week for one of the two X trains. I know it sucks, but, X wont be back to a 2 train op till about December. All 3 X trains are on the SFMM premesis though. One on the ride, one dismantled by Viper, and the third in the back of the park in Cycle Shop.
  8. That was from a can of lube that fell off the lift. Notice how its on the railings and the wall?
  9. Will this one be like X and have two lift motors? X was down last week for about 4 days because one of the motors went poof. Its fixed now, but still, since the "reopening" of X, they did slow down the lift 2.88mph. Its in the manual. I was also thinking, will this run under ArrowVision? Or maybe some other software developed by S&S?
  10. Thats a designated emergency line inside of the station for both sides of the station. That line is restricted for other....things. The only other way you can probably make a single rider line would be to mix it with the handicap line/gate. Deja Vu's single rider line works really well.
  11. They did have Flashpass(its called Flashpass now) at a time, long time ago, but it just didnt work. Really, the only thing that lags the ride is the checking of the harnesses. People have to sit down. Adjust the harness. Check the harness. Rotate the seats. Check the harness again. Then your able to dispatch. Maybe if there was a way to raise and lower the rails at unload and load, it wouldnt be that bad.
  12. I just find it saddening a lot of people think X is just so unreliable. Sure it had its hishaps when it first opened, but after the re-opening, its just top notch. There was one year that we had Wed. Maint. Day, but that was just the regular maint. Wheel changes, oil up here, lube up there. Thats all Maint. Wed. was for. The ride will usually go down for the day. Its pretty normal for any ride really. X just happens to burn wheels a lot faster. Trains are pretty hefty, your bound to burn one or two. Prox boxes will usually trigger a code or a fault. Couple of cycles and clicking the "OK" button and its fine. If it opens late, its usually a maint. thing. Most people complain about the wait times saying that the ride is supposed to make 1600 an hour. Yet, most people dont know that the 1600 pph is based on a 3 train operation. X doesnt run a 3 train operation. It CAN, but its just not possible. X is a great ride. Its fun and thrilling. People love it to death, but yet they hate it with a passion for the breakdowns.
  13. I actualy resent my first comment. Checking back with a few people, lot of text messages later, it seems as though it actually did cycle the track a couple times. The following day I was there though. Thats why I didn't know about it though. HEH!
  14. Nope. I don't think so. Atleast I didn't. Im starting to wonder how many trains this ride will get. Maybe the standard 3 like X. Maybe this one would be efficient enough to run all three of them unlike X. X can run 3 too, but its sort of impossible. Blah who cares. This construction is seriously exciting to me. Im down for a trip to Jap.
  15. I literally had to join for this comment, hahaha. Ok, the parts were tested, but NO actual train was set up on the track and cycled. That did NOT happen. It was only really a pickle fork. It went from transfers to unload to load. Back to unload to transfers and back again like 4 times. But it was just ONE pickle fork, not an entire train. This one is actually a lot better than the X train. It looks exactly the same, its not as heavy and the restraint locks arent mechanical. They dont use foot pedals to lock and unlock, its all air controlled. Theres two seats on each side, just like X. The seats they used on the test coach were the same seats off the X train. The only thing they really tested was the pickle fork because thats going to be different.
