Way off topic: but wasn't valleyfair supposed to be on Xtreme Waterparks with the new blue drop slides? I thought they said that on Twitter in the spring and haven't heard anything since.

That's my thought, everyone on this thread is excited about this ride, and I'm not sure why. So, I agree with you, except the part about the drop slides, I love drop slides.

Wow, I thought the announcement was tomorrow and so I came here to see what is up and just read through the rollercoaster of emotions. I'm glad I missed the Friday announcement tweet because you guys had quite the bi-polar day. I am sad it won't be until next week now. There is no way it's a coaster though, but I'd like to say I was wrong.

I guess I'm in the minority here because I would be really disappointed with that announcement. That ride would make me vomit and I have no interest in it. Since we are clearly not getting a coaster I'd rather have another water park expansion.

I'm at the waterpark right now. I assumed since it's the last weekend, people are going out of town for Labor Day, the fair is going on that it wouldn't be that busy. I was very very wrong. I've never seen the lines so busy for breakers pipeline/plunge.

I hope it's another water park expansion. How do we not have any tube slides? I always love the toilet bowl slides to. Or maybe something like the scorpion tail? We shall see.

Not to be a negative Nancy but I'm not getting my hopes up because I just have this feeling it'll be a disappointment. But, hey, maybe I'll be surprised...I hope so.

Wild thing in the back ftw. You get pulled over the hill so fast. I guess I never ride Wild Thing for the air time but more for the drop. I like drops. But, I still can't believe anyone would say there is no airtime. Someone above explained it that low gravity is different than air time so it's underwhelming to some people. I guess that's fair.

Just because it's the "longest" low gravity section doesn't mean it has strong airtime. In fact it's just the opposite. Since it attempts to sustain for so long, the hill is very shallow and drawn out, resulting in very weak airtime. I'll agree to disagree. I think the airtime is strong on the Wild Thing.

So, I don't know where you were sitting. I do enjoy the Excalibur though, and will be sad to see it go (assuming it does).

I have been reading these message boards for years but never had an account until I did that. I wondered if anyone was there who is on this thread.

That happened to me once on the red power tower and I panicked and showed the person next to me (I didn't know them) and she said they will come check it. Well instead the power tower went up and stopped like it does at first. And I was like holy crap! And the lady next to me could not stop laughing and said "that sucks." I was practically crying as it lifted to the top. Needless to say I lived, haha. But, every time I've been on it since I pull it down as far as it'll go and until it locks in. That ride terrifies me as it is, I don't need anything extra.

They need a craft beer bar. Then I could get my husband to go more.

I will be really sad if we don't get anything. I'm hoping for more water park expansions.

Lucky people. I've always wanted to walk down the lift hill. Hilarious, I have always wanted to do that to. There were a few times I thought we were going to have to because the attendant walked up the stairs to us. But, nope, hasn't happened to me yet.

Hey! I was there! Renegade filming wasnanton of fun. Does anyone know who did the filming of that? I'm not sure, but I talked to one of the guys while waiting to film on the xtreme swing and they travel all around the country doing that. It's like my dream job! And, we made the Facebook page. I always read this thread but I never reply on it. I decided I better after going to the filming on the Renegade on Sunday. I met some people who might be on this thread, like Renegade Mike?? I had so much fun on Sunday, I wish I could have gone on Sat and Mon. Sue
