I guess you're right, red does fade the fastest. It makes me wonder, why does red/orange tend to be a common color for roller coasters then? (spinning dragons, mamba, patriot, boomerang, many other rides at other parks)

^ sorry for double post, but this was kind of an afterthought of the post. Anyways, I know it sounds ridiculous but, is it just me, or is Mamba just kind of an ugly-looking ride compared to Patriot? I know it sounds dumb, but Patriot would benefit from a new paint job a lot more than Mamba would to me, because the ride just looks nicer overall. I don't care much for the painting of Mamba because most of the ride isn't seen from the inside park anyways, because it is most of the time high off the ground. And even the lift hill, which can easily be seen from most of the park, covers most of the track because of the large supports. I know it's a normal design for a hyper. Am I crazy, or would anyone else rather see Patriot get painted first? Patriot before: Patriot now:

It seems like nobody liked that ride. Sad to hear though! it was one of my favorites. Also, is it just me or does patriot really reeeally need a new paint job? Some people say Mamba needs one even more, but look at this. This is awful. Are there recent pics of mamba looking worse than that? I remember when patriot had the best looking paint job out of pretty much any B&M Invert I've seen.

Great news! Mamba sure does need a new paint job. Does anyone else think that Patriot is starting to look a little pink-ish? Also, anybody know where I can find the info that will be released on Thursday, like where or how it will be announced?

Just wondering, when was the Americana gate scrapped? My first trip to WOF was in 2002. I don't remember whether is was there or not, because at the time I was only 3 years old (16 now). Also, I've heard that some of the old ship is still there next to the bridge to SteelHawk. If this is true, does anyone have any pictures of it today? I go to WOF twice every year and I haven't noticed it.

Speaking of timberwolf, knowing that it's going through renovation, how many years of life do you think it has left before it's gone?

Is thunderhawk really down that often? I must be lucky. I've never been there when Thunderhawk was down.

I know this is kinda something that's off topic, but I couldn't find info on it anywhere else. If you look at the construction photos of Mamba, or photo's of when it was new, you may notice that the crown (top piece) of mamba on the first hill is all red, even under the track, while everywhere else, it is silver. Can anybody explain this, and can anyone name when they changed this? It doesn't seem to be that way now. Here's a picture of it during construction. (also- Mamba has gotten a lot less red over the years, it seems. Maybe a new paint job?)
