  1. A few things I want to say. First of all, that entrance is going in the same place as the old one? Second, when do you think we'll see a real picture for the first time? I do like the concept art. I don't know why, but I feel like it's missing something. I'm 99% sure I'll change my mind when I see it in person though. I'm probably the only person in the world that misses the old entrance. Not that the new one is bad, but I just grew up with the other entrance and it's gonna feel odd seeing the new one. I'm sure I'll like it though. Also: that entrance would look WAY better with a coaster going over it!!! Do you think there's a way we could squeeze in a coaster in the Scandinavian area to go with the new entrance? I don't see it happening, but I hope so.
  2. There's really not too much you can do other than buying tickets/fastlanes online. Unless you live relatively close enough to the park to have season passes, it will probably be pretty expensive for one visit. I visited the park 20 times this season, and I spend around $350 on my season pass (Platinum pass with Dining plan and soda cup) and definitely got my money's worth. Anyways, prices for Haunt weekends are usually around $35 each ticket. Fastlanes are about that same price. Yeah, about the only thing you could have done would be to buy 2017 season passes, and that would give you a free visit this year, which you could use for Haunt if you wanted. But that's not actually cheaper, as tickets online for Saturdays are $40 and Fast Lane is $40, so that'd be $160. Season passes go for $99 a piece, so $278 including Fast Lane. Almost twice as much; you'd just get more for your money. It's a good deal, but it sounds like that's not your goal. If you want to do rides and Haunt both, the only way to do it is to go on a Saturday and pay for Fast Lane. If you only care about rides, go on a Sunday, and there's no lines. It's half price essentially due to Fast Lane not being needed, but no Haunt that day. Really, if you're okay with driving to WoF and back in one day, go for the season pass. It's what, about 2 hours each way? We've had WoF season passes this year, and Six Flags St. Louis season passes the previous two years. We live in the Springfield-Branson area, so each park is about 3 hours from us, and we've still gone enough to make it worth it. We visited WoF 9 times this year all total, so we definitely got our money's worth. Thanks! I don't think I'll be buying a season pass, it's just too much for me to be able to spend right now, since it doesn't include a fast pass (unless I misread it). However, i have a question: On the WOF website, it says fast passes are $50, not $40. Is there a discount when you buy a certain amount of passes? Edit: Nevermind, re-read the 2017 season pass deal. Looks good to me. I got one 2017 pass and a ticket for a friend. Still wondering about why the passes on saturday are $50 instead of $40 though. Thanks!
  3. Hey everyone, quick question, I live in Omaha and I'm planning to go to worlds of fun this Saturday. I want to buy fast lane tickets and I have to buy tickets for one other person, so it's gonna be pretty expensive. I'm trying to save some money on this, does anyone have some advice on how to get cheaper tickets or fast lane passes? Is there anything I can do?
  4. Any idea when the announcement is coming?
  5. Falcons Flight will be located where Le Carousel is, and Mustang Runner will be where all the markings are. It was specifically stated to go where the old kids bumper cars were. Also, do we know where these rides came from other than just Europe? I only go to the park once or twice a year, so I'm not really familiar with where the rides are located (other than rollercoasters and big flat rides). I figured Falcon's Flight is in the Europa section, but what about Mustang Runner? Americana I'm guessing? And a couple more questions that I seem to be out of the loop on: Is the entrance being completely relocated to a different area, or just being remodeled? And do we have an exact date that we are going to see concept art? Sorry for the rush of questions, I just feel like I'm missing a lot of information about this.
  6. I hope that ride doesn't go! By the way, how are you supposed to pronounce "fjord fjarlane" anyways?
  7. There are other things going on at the park next year that will be costing a lot of money, so I would guess the two rides are the extent of the new rides. We'll see if that front gate and new facade/upgrades to Tivoli finally come to fruition. They've only been planned and then put on the back burner for at least 3 years now I've heard the new front gate is happening. I guess the real question then is - will Fjord Fjairlane be moved elsewhere or retired (I'd be all for it being moved to Europa). They will also need to add some additional catered meal areas because it will take out Tivoli East and Central. No! anything but the Fjarlane!!! That was my favorite ride growing up as a kid. When I was about 5 or 6 I couldn't pronounce the name of the ride, and I actually pronounced the J's the way they would be pronounced in english. It has always been the traditional first ride of the park for me In fact, my 2 favorite rides before I grew big enough were the octopus, and the Fjarlane. I can't handle losing both of them!
  8. Hey everyone, it's been a while since I planned a worlds of fun trip. I plan on driving down there in the next few weeks with some friends. We will stay fron opening time to closing time. What day of the week can we expect to be the least busy? I was thinking of going on a Monday or Tuesday. Any advice would be appreciated! If it's worth noting, I live in Omaha so it's about a 3 hour drive.
  9. Is this even in English??? Seriously, this is a warning to all of you. Make more stupid posts and you'll all be banned. Get back on topic and stop acting like idiots. Didn't expect to see you here!
  10. Here is where the paint stops Looks great!!! Can't wait to go this year.
  11. I won't be able to visit the park for a few months. What part of Mamba was repainted? Was it the whole track? It would be great if someone could get pictures of Mamba that would show the difference.
  12. That's good to hear. Mamba needs some repainting. Any idea what parts have been touched up? Mamba is older than me (born in 1999) so I don't really know what it looked like when it was new. (and I guess what the ride experience was like but it's a steel coaster so I doubt it's changed.) Also, one more question: Has anyone noticed that when you get on the ride they say Mamba is one of the "tallest, fastest, and longest roller coasters in the world"? I know this isn't close to being true, so why do they say that? It's even in the description of the POV video on the Worlds of Fun youtube channel:
  13. Sorry for the double post, I wrote it on mobile, something must have messed up
  14. I'm a bit confused about this. Are we getting the huss rides in the 2016 season or 2017? I thought it was 2017 but I could be mistaken. Could someone clarify?
