  1. I am visiting six flags magic mountain or the first time from Chicago in September . I have some questions regarding flash pass and generally about the park / attractions. Platinum costs $130 and the gold is $80. I AM GOING ALONE. 1. The 'The New Revolution' and 'SUPERMAN: Escape from Krypton' rides say 'Single ride with Platinum only; limited availability'. - Does it mean that only platinum holders can skip lines for these two rides? 2. Also mentioned for the ride 'X2': 'Additional fee upgrade available with Gold or Platinum. Single reservation only.' Any idea where to purchase this additional fee? I tried reaching SFMM but was unsuccessful. 3.Need some tips on what days to visit - weekdays or weekends, which ride to start with, and what the average wait times are for all the rides with flash pass especially X2, SUPERMAN, TATSU. I want to ride X2 as many times as I can. I was planning on a Saturday since the park is open 10:30 am to 1 am. 4. Is the front row the best for all the rides? 5. What would be the best place to stay on a budget? Any cheap motels nearby? 6. What are the other things to do apart from six flags ? Any nearby attractions? How long will you recommend staying? Mainly looking for thrill seeking activities Can anyone help me out? Thanks everyone!
  2. I just got a season pass for six flags The last operating day is Nov 6, which is a Sunday and I am wondering if this is the best day to go to avoid the crowd. What do you guys think? The weather will definitely be cold and in your experience, will the wait time be really less?
  3. Thanks guys, That was very informative I shall try this with gold pass, but researching more about how the platinum flash pass actually works, Do they always see the wristband ? Anyone who has ridden with platinum flash pass?
  4. Hi, We are four guys, planning on visiting six flags great america. The price for the platinum flash pass is about $110. We were wondering if we could just get 1, and then take turns to use the flash pass and ride the coasters. Will that be a good idea instead of each of us buying the flash pass? Are there any caveats with this? I'm not sure whether it is allowed as per the books, but we were planning to give it a try. Thanks
  5. I have been on both in the front row, somehow I felt Kingda ka was more thrilling, especially the launch , and maybe because I rode Kingda ka first, and knew what to expect while riding dragster. Nevertheless, both are amazing, and TTD has lap bars, better theme and a superb view from the top hat. Also I wonder why kingda ka doesn't have lap bars?
  6. Hi all, I rode Kingda ka last year and top thrill dragster this week at cedar point. While TTD has better theming, better view from top hat and lap bars, I still feel kingda is more thrilling , especially the initial launch. What is your take on this? Also I am wondering why Kingda ka doesn't have lap bars?
  7. Thanks a lot for a lot of useful information! I am starting from Chicago tomorrow and I am exited. I would also like to know if the 2 day ride and slide ticket is worth it . Planning to visit the park on friday and saturday .
  8. Hi all, I just joined this forum and I see a lot of useful information about many theme parks! I would like to visit Cedar Point from Chicago and have a couple of questions.. 1. I am going to buy the fast lane plus, wondering if anyone could give me some tips on what days to visit - weekdays or weekends, which ride to start with, and what the average wait times are for all the rides with fast lane plus, especially top thrill dragster and millennium force. 2. Is one day enough to cover all the rides with the fast lane plus? I want to ride Top thrill dragster and millennium force as many times as I can. Been to Kingdaka at Six flags great adventure and absolutely loved it. 3. Is the first row the best for all the rides? Does fast lane plus allow us to choose the front row? 4. What would be the best place to stay on a budget? Any cheap motels nearby? 5. What are the other things to do apart from Cedar point ? Any nearby attractions? How long will you recommend staying in Sandusky ? Thank you all
