  1. As has been stated, assigned seating for rides at Dollywood is not common, Pretty sure EVERY train that leaves Mystery Mine is assigned seating. Maybe all Dollywood host don't know what they're talking about as proven again here. Mystery Mine assigns a row, not a seat and Mountain Slidewinder has to assign seating to properly distribute weight in each boat. These have been the only rides to assign placement in the park before LRod. Barnstormer assigns you a side of a swing but not a seat. THANKS Well if we are going to go this route, your post was still incorrect. LR does not assign "seats" either. They tell you what "row" to go to and you pick your own seat. Really, you're going to correct someone on the whole "seats" vs "rows" comment? Dude, take a break and walk away from the computer for a bit. No one wants to read posts like these. Obviously you did AND took the time to post back. Maybe you should read every post on this board if you think these are the only ones like it.
  2. I rode backrow, and held on for dear life the whole time. It takes a lot for me to put my arms down. And the thing was a walkon!!! Back row Thunderhead is an amazing ride! Love all of the airtime and turns!

And please don't be rude; we welcome park staff to post on here. Excuse me? Being rude? Do you actually read all the post on here? If you go back a page or so, Rob is calling people who like floaties "pussies" but you call me rude? And how do you know that I am not a park employee>?

  6. Here is a video trim.CFFA8B0F-8543-45E5-B1F5-C6B10C08D67E.MOV
  7. Just got our tickets and got in line to ride. One train currently running.
  8. The coaster has 2 trains. From the number of sections sitting on the ground, it appears to only be 1 train off the track broken up. Not sure why they took the one train off last night, but one is off and sitting on the ground.
  9. I want to think the coaster will open soon, but last night while leaving the park, the trains were taken off the track again and are now sitting in the parking area at the bottom of the station.
  10. Here is a quick video of the coaster going over the lift and 2nd hill. You can see the coaster is moving fine over the hills with a train of people. Wait until close to the end and you can see the coaster in the bottom of the screen on its way back to the station before going into the quadruple-down. I think the countdown is on..... coaster.MOV
  11. Did this thread just turn into a man crush post?
  12. We were at Dollywood this weekend and LR was testing. Also, I thought I posted this last week, but maybe I forgot. The coaster has been officially turned over to Dollywood. It was turned over to Dollywood last Monday, 05.09 and the LR crew has been training and riding the coaster. I will say, I was told by one of the LR ride ops this weekend that after the coaster was turned over to Dollywood and they began their training, the trains were still running upwards to 90 MPH on some testing and Dollywood wasn't happy with this, because it is burning out wheels and brakes. They are now looking into this issue and how to slow it down. He also stated the coaster was supposed to open to the public last Wed, 05.11 but because of the speed, Dollywood decided to keep it down. The actual LR crew is supposed to be back in the station today to continue training while Dollywood works on the speed issue. If you are at the park, be sure and watch out for them.
  13. Dolly says with all that talk, she put her glasses back on, because the rainbow is much prettier!
  14. It's okay Guy. Saturday at the parade in the park, I asked Dolly if she was still a fan of yours even though you lost your faith in her and she gave you 2 big thumbs up! Guess she still likes you after all!
  15. Hey Guy.... So this past weekend, when I saw Dolly the first time, I told her that you no longer believed that LR would open. I told her that you had lost all faith in her (and humanity for LR) and I asked her what message I could take back to you from her. Here was her response for you! Dolly sticking tongue out at Guy from TPR.
