My husband and i were planning on going to the waterpark this Saturday. We have a 2yo- so we will be hanging at the pirate ship and doing the big Kahuna once or twice (he's 39 inches)....wondering what kind of lines we can expect and how crowded the toddler/preschool area might be. It's supposed to be 80 with a chance of rain. Hoping it keeps young families away!

I think what they really need is some good PR. It seems everyone is bitching on facebook about something or another. I know a lot of people who also say -what was it like? I haven't been since it was six flags.... I bought a season pass, my husband will use the 3 free tickets and my son who is 2 = but tall- is free. We went this past weekend and were impressed. The place was MUCH cleaner and just more 'crisp' than it was as a SF. All the fresh paint and clean pavement- no nasty looking places. We also felt the food and drink prices were very reasonable for a park. We were impressed and may end up buying my husband a season pass if we use all 3 tickets early in the season. Anyone know when hooks is opening? Why it wasn't open? thats the area we need open for my son

Anyone know if any of the water is heated? They said on FB that the waterpark section will be open on May 17th....I can't even imagine going if the water is straight out of a hose. Might not be able to hit the waterpark til July~

Anyone know if the water at the waterpark is heated? They hadn't filled any of it yet....should be up and running May 27th I think the signs said. Also- any word at all on the Guardian opening? I want to ride it on June 27th. Praying it's done then.

I went yesterday and took a look around the new ride....if it's not a credit I'd be SHOCKED. It's totally a family coaster and there is for sure a drop---probably a drop as big as you'd see on the new seven dwarfs mine train ride- maybe a little shorter. The lines were AWESOME. 10 minutes or less for EVERY ride. I rode Behemoth in 5 minutes I am so glad i wore sunscreen though- it was cloudy ALL day but my nose still got burnt! Put that sunscreen on folks- even if you think you don't need it. As for fitting on the rides- I was worried (see previous post on page 534)....no problem on any ride. The 2 biggest coasters have weight limits of 300lbs and I'd guess that's about right. I could easily gain 75pds and still fit on them. I ended up buying a season pass- just for CW though- not CF parks. It was only 27 more bucks to buy the pass. I'm taking my son (he's 2) at the end of June with my mom and my husband. Should be fun. If you want to buy a yearly parking pass- be sure to carry with you your proof that you paid 20 to park your car INTO the park. I had to go back to my car to get it and then go back to buy the pass. They will count that 20 toward the cost of the parking. CRAZY expensive LOL!

When was opening day? I thought it was last Friday? Their calendar now makes it look like opening day is tomorrow. I certainly hope not as that's when I"m going.

Does anyone know the 'bring a friend' dates for this year? DL is saying 'come to guest services to find out'. I really want to know now before I buy a season pass.

Another question---I've been reading about how lots of roller coasters don't fit overweight guests. I'm a size 16/18 now and 5'8. My weight is 'hourglass shaped'- not all in my stomach. I've never had any issue riding rides before but I'm at my highest weight I've ever been. Anyone have any info on CW rollercoasters?

I'm new here and have loved coasters since I was a preschooler! I'm headed to CW on Friday- wondering if the fast pass is worth it. It will just be me- by myself. My husband has an event he's going to in Toronto and I thought it would be fun to go to the park alone. If I don't get FP- how long do you think the waits might be? I had the luxury of being REALLY tall as a child and I have pictures of me on Wild Beast at FOUR years old. My mom was terrified I'd fall out- but I had a BLAST!
