  1. I'd like to show another point of view on this: I think a park has a heavier interest in dispatching faster and getting more people out of the queues. While a guest is standing in line, they aren't spening money. I think any park has the interest of getting people on and off as fast as possible so they can buy an on ride photo, food, or play more midway games. Sure a fast track system brings in money, but it's a one time flat price that very limited amounts of people will buy. Then factor in the complaints and irritated guests in a queue, I think it's a wash on the money side.
  2. Went to the park yesterday and confirmed that some of the single riders queues are gone. Rite, Air, and Nemesis are no longer single rider friendly. Thirteen was closed all day so I am unsure about that. Wait times yesterday were....non-existent. The Smiler was a walk on most of the day, but still used the single riders queue. The park also confirmed on Twitter of the demise of the single riders queue: (Airs SRQ was gated and locked)
  3. Thanks for all the tips, everyone! I should have been more clear - with the SRQ, it sounds like they are not always open. That the SRQ is only available when the park gets busy. This is what I gathered after reading a few of the parks response to posts on TripAdvisor.
  4. I'll be headed to the park Monday, March 23rd - the parks first full-operating weekday. It will also be my first time in England. Any tips for the park on being able to knock it out from 9 to 5? Want to try and get the coasters with Hex, Duel, or any other cool rides Im not aware about. From what I've gathered from TowerStreet.com and a few other Alton sites is to take the monorail and get the parking paid for before the end of the day. Since I am a single rider, I will utilize the single riders line. Which I cannot seem to confirm if The Smiler has a SRQ? I'd rather not spend the 95GBP, but want to make sure I can get multiple rides in on the coasters. Any tip is greatly appreciated!
