  1. Today was amazing - I got at least 12 rides in before I had to call it quits, after riding so many times with little (20 minute) breaks in between, I couldn't handle it anymore. Dueling gives this ride so much more than it already has, but proved to be quite difficult today. The train has to leave the station before the train entering the green lift is completely onto the lift (Or has completely exited the breaks). One train I was on was dispatched right at this cutoff and caught up to the train at the top, but another ride we went about a second after the 2nd train entered the lift and barely missed them. A big difference in today was that a lot of people unfamiliar with the ride were riding - a handful of my rides I'd hear people saying "What? You ride both sides?" Two people asked the ride ops where the queue line for the other track was. I think with all the unfamiliar people came the first signs of how this ride will run with GP - A lot of people later in the day took their time to put their bags down which hindered dueling. Another thing is the size limit of this ride: if one person takes the walk of shame (And I'd say one did every 3-4 rides), it'd usually cause the ride to miss dueling by a second or two. In the beginning of the day the ops would wait for the other train of they missed a duel, but later on they started just cranking them out, causing for a lot more non-dueling rides. Still no 3 train ops, I asked one of the manager-looking-ladies and she told me they'd probably use all 3 tomorrow but there were no plans in using 3 today. Seeing how much they have to rush around the get these trains to race every other cycle with 2 trains (having a break in between), I don't see it being a common occurence with 3. They'll have to be just as fast with every load, I think getting at least 1 duel on either side will be the common occurence, but getting to duel on both sides won't happen much after an hour or two of opening.
  2. Just rode Twisted Colossus in the back seat - AMAZING. As stated above, they're only running the purple train right now, the lady at the front told me a wheel got a hole in it so they have to polish it off - they're opening the ride for GradNite tonight until 3 am. she told me the crew was handpicked from major rides (X2, Tatsu, Full Throttle) and are the only ones working the ride (she said she's been here all day and will be until 3 am) They're going SUPER quick though for only having one train, but each cycle with loading/ride/unloading is about 6 minutes. Also, the blue chain is normal speed and the green train and extremely slow (probably adding a good minute to the ride time) I'm assuming this is because the ride is only running one train and it's programmed to wait for blue. UPDATE: Orange is back on, hopefully we see blue too after the wheel is fixed and 3-train operations?
  3. First Post! Looks like nets were installed over the Top Gun Stall. In my opinion, I knew it'd happen, but I don't see it changing anything effect-wise on it. It'd suck to get knocked in the head by someone's phone falling from the Green Train, although highly unlikely
  4. I'd suggest going to YOLOcoaster first (As you said) then going through the park in a counter-clockwise fashion. The back of the park is really dead the first hour or so of any day -- Even a Saturday. Whenever I go I always do YOLOcoaster, Goliath, Lex Luthor, Colossus & Scream (If I feel like riding them) Batman, Green Lantern, (Usually skip this one), Riddlers Revenge, Jet Stream (Again, if I feel like it), Apocolypse (If theres 1 Train and the lines more than an hour, Not worth it). Usually by this point I head back to Johnny Rockets or something and eat, then walk up the Hill of Death by the YOLOcoaster Tunnel Entrance and go to Superman, afterwards I head to Ninja (Again, If im feeling it). Tatsu would probably be next but usually the line is crazy (Tatsu's Line is about the same all day, sadly) so that one is just when you feel like waiting. No matter WHERE you are in the park id go to X2 around 3:30-4ish. By then its pretty dead and you should only wait at max 30 minutes. It stays pretty dead until it starts getting dark. Obviously this fluctuates each time I go, but its a good way to go as you ride a lot of the rides in the back without a wait because nobody is usually back there until 11:30ish. Hope this helps!
  5. If this were any other park I'd say a nice Wild Mouse Coaster would fit perfectly where Deja Vu was, though it might tamper with the Apacolypse Themeing a bit (But like it isn't already, I mean really, a Rainbow Slingshot is right next to it.) But seeing a Wild Mouse doesn't break any records, Unless its El Loco from S&S that breaks the record for Steepest drop (Don't see that happening.) I could picture some AMAZING layouts for a Colossus makeover with Rocky Mountain, If they kept it as two racing roller coasters (Yay for Double the Cost!) which I don't see happening, All I can picture is intertwining Corkscrews and one train flipping over the other switching sides and all that nonsense. Maybe they'll put Full Throttle backwards and call it a good year for 2014.
  6. Oh yes, Rollbacks are occurring every so often. From what I've seen, it's better to have a Rollback on the first launch (Into the loop) then a Rollback on the third launch (over the tophat) which happens a lot less. I haven't seen a rollback from the third launch but from what I hear it takes a lot longer to get it back.
  7. The Midnight Event was amazing. I got the 3rd ride, after I got off and got my T-shirt/food I heard everyone screaming and pointing, looked over to see Full Throttle had rolled back. They oh so slowly rolled it back to the station, took everyone off, and proceeded to send through 4 empty trains which cleared the loop with no problem. They put people back on, and after 1 Cleared the loop the 2nd again rolled back. I was talking to one of the Hostesses and she said it had only happened once at the media event. They waited like 10 minutes to start sending more trains through, and the first one rolled back -- It wasn't looking good. Finally they got 4 Tests over and the ride seemed to be working again. I got 2 rides, One in the middle and one in the 2nd to last back seat (The very back was closed off for some reason) The back seat is an AMAZING ride. My restraint had left a huge gap between me and itself due to the shin gaurds, So at the top of the loop I literally fell out of my seat, It was amazing. The Dive Loop is amazing aswell, mostly the backwards launch into it because, again, I was out of my seat for it (This ride has a LOT of inverted airtime ) But the best part had to be dropping off that tophat. Its insane. Something I can't explain, just the feeling of it is great. The wings were GREAT. The fries were GREAT (And they were Crunchy! I was soooo happy!) The T-shirts were GREAT and went EXTREMELY fast. Overall the ride was extremely fun. I'm not the Roller Coaster Enthusiast that travels the world riding every coaster, Magic Mountain and a few others have been my only homes, and after going to Magic Mountain hundreds of times I can say this is one of my favorite rides. I just hope they treat the Rollbacks like Kingda Ka/TTD do sooner or later.
  8. Thought I'd sign up instead of just coming on here everyday to see if any progress was posted. I just bought tickets for the Midnight Opening of Full Throttle - Hopefully it isn't to crowded (You wouldn't think it would be, but who knows.) Glad that it comes with a lovely YOLOshirt and YOLOmeal. Can't wait!
