  1. I went to all of the mazes yesterday and Blackout had the longest wait, so try to go to that one first. A young woman farther ahead of me on the rope inside Blackout was so terrified that she was actually sobbing.
  2. I've seen Bonnie around the park and she was always wearing a short dress and high heels. I've never seen her holding a picker.
  3. The baskets are atop the gondolas when the gondolas make their ascent, but stay in place on the tracks during the drop. When the gondolas are on the ground, they lower the baskets to rejoin the gondolas. The gondolas' ascent and the baskets' descent were very, very slow. I hope that was just for testing purposes only and they won't move that slowly when the ride is operational. I hope to see the full drop on video soon. I didn't know it was going to drop when it did, so I wasn't able to get good footage.
  4. I just posted my video from testing yesterday . Sorry about the video quality--I was using an old camera. This was past 5pm and as you can see, the gondolas were at the curve. Later on, I was away at rides and saw that they had raised the gondolas to just below the red part of the tracks. That drop was faster than the drop in this video, but I wasn't able to record it. I'm sure that there will be much better video popping up soon. [coastertube]http://www.themeparkreview.com/coastertube/play.php?vid=100_4558_vrqj[/coastertube]
  5. I was at the park this evening. The concrete's still not completely filled in the Drop of Doom area. The Daily Planet's sign is up and there's a red awning on the building. On the tram back to the parking lot at night, the driver pointed out what he said were new lights on the Superman tracks. I hadn't paid close attention to the Superman lights before, so I don't know what's new and what's old.
  6. I was at the park this afternoon and the walls are down from the front of the Drop of Doom queue building. I saw Bonnie and three men walk into the queue building. It was hard to see inside, but you can see the circular "L" sign against the wall and the queue railings.
  7. Yes, I wish they had done some pressure washing of the rides and loading stations during the off season. The main walkways look okay, but they could probably make a small fortune if they collected the plastic bottles and aluminum cans that are tossed to the sides of the queues and took them to a recycling center. Wherever there's a ceiling--like in the loading stations or the covered walkways leading to the loading stations--you're bound to see cobwebs and lots of dirt. Even just holding up a broom and whacking down the cobwebs that way would make a big difference. It's depressing to ride the carousel and look up to see how the horse is moving up and down and see all the cobwebs up there. I wonder if anything can be done to get rid of all the gum on the ceiling of the tunnel at Jet Stream or the big black crossbeams on the lift hill at Tatsu. It's unfortunate that guests spit out their gum like that, but the park has to clean that up. I'm not trying to sound negative; I just want to see the park looking cleaner because I really do enjoy the rides. I noticed that too when I went to the park on Monday. I assumed that it was BO because it was late afternoon and quite hot.
