  1. I live 10 minutes away... I don't think this will happen... In the past 5 years, we got two new theme parks, and one coming soon that filed for bankruptcy last year. We got the Great Wolf Lodge and the new Lego Land that opened last summer, both are located in Grapevine. The Texas Alps was coming to Grapevine, but the company behind the park filed for bankruptcy. So, when they say "BIG", it will be very "small". I thought Lego Land was going to be a huge theme park, I was wrong. It's a very small theme park in Grapevine Mills Mall. I am still waiting for the new Disney theme park for the past 15 years. I am still waiting....
  2. I have been disappointed in the past about new theme parks, but is this for REAL! EarthQuest Adventures's Facebook have not been updated in a very long time, and their website has been stagnant thinking over the past several years.
  3. This will be one of three subjects that I will be discussing in this forum. I live in Dallas, Texas and we desperately need a new theme park. Numerous rumors have spread over the years about a Disney theme park, and many other theme attractions that were committed to open in 2010, 2011, and 2012, but most have of the information have been a terrible disappointment. Anyway, the good news is we are getting a new theme park in Galveston Island that is opening in the summer of 2012. The theme park will be called Pleasure Pier that will consist restaurants, 16 rides, games, shopping, and entertainment. The theme park will be operated by the Landry's corporation. The theme park will be located at the once Flagship Hotel before the hurricane destroyed the entire structure. I am very excited about the news and will probably make a weekend trip to Galveston Island. Here's the link to the website. http://www.pleasure-pier.com/ Also, here the link to Facebook that have pictures of the development in process. http://www.facebook.com/galvestonislandpier?sk=wall
