  1. Is it confirmed anywhere that SFMM is getting this specific model? Since it is MM and the new go big campaign it is possible to get the larger version. As well given this may have been in the planning for awhile intamin and MM may have opted to do an even larger concept. It may be wishful thinking or brainstorming but i wouldn't utilize just the video as hard evidence this is the exact model since it was just a leaked version and not an official release. I'm just saying the potential to go big and have the first Zacspin in the US could be unique in its own SF way. As well if you look at the one shown and the versions that Intamin has listed on their site there are very distinct differences in supports and layout.
  2. I know some people will not like this comment but simply put what the big deal really of turning the car around? Its still the same ride just reversed forces and views. It is a smart project to reinvent the ride as a cost savings plan, however the park is lacking in so many areas as it relates to flat rides. Having worked in an industry where time studies and people/equipment flow is critical, I think the parks especially my home park of MM which I do like very much needs to look at a true balance of the park. For the large coasters we have and will potentially have in the future, I think at minimum at least 10 fairly sized flats should be added, to counter balance the lines on coasters, flow of traffic as it opens around the park. Even if we get superman with both sides running and reach its max desired speed, the potential for this ride to last as an attention grabber will die off fast as it is just the same ride it originally was. Unless and i am hoping the do a true makeover as X did when turning into X2. I'm hopeful and waiting to see the mountains potential as to their announcement and plans. But from seeing how the ride first opened and was received and watching it become less and less as the months and years went on, I don't see this is going to have as big an impact for a ride of this height and potential....IMO
  3. So I went and had a run through the park yesterday it was a great day, the only line was for Riddler due to running one train operation. But I must say I give the X2 crew kudos for great cycles. I managed to get 5 rides in a matter of one hour. As for the new coaster no work was done but a few peopel were on site walking up the hill. I also noticed no new parts have arrived for the coaster yet. The top of the lift was sitting next to Terminator, speaking of which I had four rides on both trains and no sound was playing, Ninja was testing but closed. Stopping over at Deja-Vu whicjh was running great, is that a new train or a secondary train. When did it get yellow, green and blue coloring? Maybe its been awhile since i paid attention to it or it went unnoticed at any rate it was great rides by a good and enthusiatic crowd. And I must say the employees really are doing a lot better high fives after each ride and being personable while waiting in line goes a long way. Since i went alone with just my ipod it was nice to meet some Leads and chat a bit while waiting in the short lines. Glad to see my home park is doing its best to break the old image.
