If anyone is interested, I just wanted to add that I found a photo of Wonderland that I took from the Hyatt:

Aww I absolutely loved playing the "Where in the World" game but had to travel overseas for four days with next to no internet access the whole time so was bummed that I couldn't play along anymore! Even more annoying as having been to the UAE many times (and even stayed at the Hyatt overlooking Wonderland for most of that time), I recognised so many places!
Can't wait for your next "Where in the World" thread - they're such fun to play so please keep doing them!
Right now I think you are in Wagamama in Festival City, Dubai - very close to the airport (it hasn't been long since you've landed) and which also has a Burger King and Chillis. Having been to Dubai so many times, you do tend to see more Westerners than Arabic people most of the time!

Am even more convinced now that you are in Dubai as there are several Wagamamas there as well as plenty of Burger Kings and Chillis!

Definitely Dubai on the United flight from Dulles. The picture of the Delta flight is because that landed from Atlanta at a very similar time to the UA one.
And the photo of the travelator is from the long walk underneath the taxiways from Terminal 1 in Dubai to immigration and baggage claim. I have done that same walk so many times!
PS. Enjoy the free wifi in the DXB terminal
I'm now pretty much certain that you are at Dulles airport. Is the A380 reference due to the fact that you are flying to Dubai which is home to Emirates - one of the few airlines that currently operate the A380?
The picture of the chairs and payphones is reminding me of Concourse C at Dulles.
Even more so as very few US airports have smoking lounges in them yet I can see one signposted in that photo. Looks very similar to this photo on Flickr:
Well as Ferrari World is a distinct possibility, I think you are flying UA to IAD to connect with the direct UA flight to Dubai - then a quick drive along the coast to Abu Dhabi.
Hi guys!
I'm a long time lurker - love reading all the trip reports - and I have a question.
I'll be in LA next weekend (visiting from London) and I'm looking to go to Universal Studios for the day. I have been to the park before but never at a weekend. So my question is does anyone know how busy the park will be on a Saturday in December? I'm already thinking that a Front of Line pass might come in handy.
Thanks in advance for any advice!
Nikki
