  1. So I found out I may be heading to Ohio to... A. Visit family relatives in Lorain Ohio. B. Go to Ceder Point as we have 4 free tickets. So now I wonder how I may fit on the coaster I want to may want to ride. I probably will not do some of the really fast and bigger dropping coaster because I enjoy the looping, inversion ones and wooden coasters. So some of those I may have trouble in because a few of those may be similar in seat type as Great Bear in Hershey. Which ones may I have trouble in.
  2. I was 350 last year and have lost 50 ponds and am now 300 so I hope it fits fine.
  3. I know at Hershey I could not fit into a big seat at the Great Bear so most B&M's would be a problem with me right? I am going to Kennywood this Summer and I may try the Phantom's Revenge Does anyone have any pictures of the restraints and seat on it and I wonder if it would be a problem. I would hate to wait in line and not be able to ride.
  4. Hi my name is Lauren, I live in Somerset PA. I guess I am pretty lucky living near 4 Amusement Parks 5 if you count Hershey Park. I have been to All 4 around here that's Lakemont Park, Delgrosso's, Idlewild Park and Kennywood. I have also been to Hershey twice but only remember last years trip mostly. Last year my family went to Hershey for a day and a half we used AAA for discounted tickets and went to the Chocolate Tour that Friday evening then entered the park free. This year I won 2 4 packs of tickets to Kennywood and Sandcastle so that's where we are going. Maybe will go to Idlewild if we win more tickets. I am not a big Coaster riders but that's mostly because of my size(Could not fit into Great Bear last year). But I am working out and losing weight so in a year or two I may be riding the big coasters, if I can work up to riding them. I have rode both coasters at Idlewild, 1 at Lakemont, 1 at Kennywood, And I faintly remember riding a coaster or two at Disney World when I was a kid. Last time i was in Orlando was in 2003 and we visited Epcot and Universal Studios. No coasters ridden then. But I do enjoy Theme Parks and ride a good amount of Flat Rides. Although some spinning one may make me sick. Last Year the Flying Falcons I rode 1 to may times LOL.
  5. Hi I am new to the Forum. I live in Somerset PA, about 30 minutes from Idlewild. I used to visit every year as a kid and even up to 2 years ago at least every other year. Last year I visited Hershey Park for which I had to been at since the year the Great Bear opened. I enjoyed it but was upset that the Giant Wheel was gone and that they were tearing down the river raft ride. This year we have won free tickets to either Idlewild, Kennywood, or Sandcastle and are giving them to my cousin who is having a birthday party today but since he is 12 and my other cousin is 10 they are getting a bit older and do not want to go to Idlewild as much. But bring in a nice steel coaster and we would be back for sure. The kids love Sandcastle and one has been to Kennywood so that's where we will be going. I have a few ideas for that pond. 1. they could clean up the pond and put in some water trikes or something and those walk on water balls. 2. Could drain the water and build a river raft ride in its place. It needs another Water Ride. 3. Again drain the water and build a lazy river that goes from the entrance side to the other side and back. This would work well as it is a water park and even though they don't have a wave pool they have a pool and a lazy river is a bit more family friendly than a wave pool or a river ride.
