Well she's into parks and coasters some, but absolutely loves history...main reason she chose those two parks because of what is all around them history-wise. I'm more into the parks and coasters, but am a history buff as well. We aren't looking so much to be pampered as we are to stay some place nice, have fun at some parks, and be able to enjoy some historical stuff as well. We know the parks will be only open limited hours with it being October, but that's ok because it's not a "coaster only, go for nothing but credits and spend 10 hours at the park" kind of trip. Thanks for the responses already, and anything else is very welcome!

This is open to anyone, but of course the expertise of the Alveys would be most welcome! My fiance' and I have started talking about honeymoon planning for October 06...she wants to do something different and would like to go to one of these parks and the surrounding parks/history attractions that are near them. If you had to choose one or the other, would you head to VA or PA? We've never been to either, so both will be a first time experience. Any thoughts, recommendations, info, or opinions will be most appreciated! Thanks in advance!
