Hi, I was just looking through some google searches and stumbled across this forum. I live in northwest ohio, and sandusky is roughly about 45 minutes from my house (where I'll be working) I had applied for a seasonal position at Cedar point and got an interview probably towards the end of march. I will be working some position in the arcade. Does anyone have any previous experience working this job? At the end of my interview The lady that I saw said I could get as little as 35 hours a week, or even up to 60 hours a week.
Also I read somewhere that the bonus at the end of your contract could be anywhere from $.50 or $1.00 for every hour you work.. would anyone be able to give me a more solid figure for the upcoming 2008 season?
Also I think I would like to live in the housing they provide because it would cost me roughly 40 bucks a week in gas compared to the 24.00 a week the bayside apartments (The ones I'm really considering) cost.
I think being a ride op would be a lot of fun, and definitely a different job experience then the average person gets. After this year I might considering working over next summer and trying for a ride op position, I didn't try to get one this year considering I didn't apply until early march.. and figured those positions would be taken.
Right now my contract is from May 10th, until September 24th, that leaving me a week to get everything ready before I leave for school in Chicago.
