  1. Hurakan Condor is an awesome ride, especially the standing positions. Unfortunately, you don't get to choose whether you get sitting or standing. Also, if you want to greatly reduce your waiting time on this, use the single rider line, since there's no express option on this ride. Furius Baco broke down when I was there, after an hour in line- GRRR!
  2. Hardly a kid, he was 31, a full decade ahead of you!
  3. Yeah, I figured this might be the case. I know nothing about the area, which is why I hoped to get a recommendation for a Sandusky hotel from you guys. Sounds like most of you think B.E. is a perfectly acceptable option.
  4. Spiderman at IOA, Tower of Terror at MGM, Hurakan Condor at Port Aventura, and Insanity at the Stratosphere. All awesome.
  5. Thanks for the help so far folks. To answer the person who asked where I'd read poor reviews, various review sites (TripAdvisor and the like). Guess I should take some of the reviews with a pinch of salt! In particular, there are LOADS of crappy reviews for Breakers Express (rooms not cleaned, towels never replaced, staff disinterested, noisy teenagers in the hallways until all hours of the night/morning, etc., etc.). Sounds like not all of you would agree with that. Also many bad reviews about The Breakers (some of the cheaper rooms tiny and tatty and musty smelling, poor service again.). Obviously, the extra park hour is a big bonus, but it's not essential to me as we plan to be at the park at least three or four days, so should still fit everything in! And like I say, I don't require palatial rooms or endless amenities, I just don't want to book into one of their hotels only to find when I got there that the room wasn't clean or I couldn't sleep due to the noise. I would welcome your continuing comments on this, and once again, thanks for the replies so far.
  6. Hi folks. Figured I'd ask this question here, as I believe users on this site may be the most knowledgable about such matters. I'm planning an extended trip to Cedar Point (if I'm gonna fly 8-9 hours to get there, I'm gonna stay for more than a day or two), and I want to stay nearby, but have been reading some crappy reviews of pretty much all the Cedar Point affiliated hotels. Obviously they have the benefit of an extra hour in the park, but for me this wouldn't outweigh the fact that my room was unclean or the staff were unhelpful. Does anyone know of a good hotel in Sandusky? Nothing too flashy, all we require is cleanliness and friendly staff.
