  1. I see the word "poo poo" was tastefully used to replace my vulgar choice of language. I guess that gets the message across just as well.
  2. I thought Japan was a fairly progressive country but whats with the warning about ADHD and not being able to ride Spin Bullet? As far as I know, as a psychiatrist, ADHD does not make you vulnerable to flashing lights, dark spaces, or fast moving rollercoasters. Shit...that stuff actually tends to create more stimulation which is what the ADHD brain seeks.
  3. You guys really are amazing...now I have at least 4 more trips that I want to do in the next couple of years. I think for this spring we'll hit up Virginia, then next year Florida, the year after that Pennsylvania and then probably Tennessee. Thanks for all the great suggestions and advice!!! I'll post some pictures when I get back from Kings Dominion and Busch Gardens. Dan
  4. Thanks for the replies. I was also thinking about the trip to Six Flags New England and Compounce after seeing it as a 2008 TPR East Coast Trip itinerary. Boulder Dash looks fun and Bizarro is a dream of mine to ride. Time of travel might help decide this trip for us. Does anybody know, via car driving, now long it will take to go from: Busch Gardens Europe to Kings Dominion Busch Gardens Europe or Kings Dominion to Dollywood (I'm not even sure if this is feasible but I've always wanted to ride on Mystery Mine and not sure where Dollywood is in Tennessee in relation to some of the parks in Virginia) Six Flags New England to Compounce Thanks a bunch for all your help! I'll make sure to do a trip report/summary with pics and video when I get back. Dan
  5. My brother-in-law and I went on a two day trip to Ohio a few years back to take in Cedar Point and Kings Island. We absolutely loved it. We also got to see on the drive between the two the Rock n'Roll Hall of Fame, a professional baseball game, the "world's largest crack" cave exploration and some other local treats. We are hoping to plan another long weekend trip but wanted to see what others in this community recommend first. He lives in NY and I live in CA. We've been to all the CA parks and to Six Flags Great Adventure in NJ. He also has been to some parks in Texas. I was thinking of a trip to Virginia for Kings Dominion and Busch Gardens Europe. Heard Alpengeist, Big Bad Wolf, Apollo's Chariot, Griffon and Intimidator were great coasters. Any other ideas? We're looking for some big fun coasters! Thanks for all your help. Dan and Eric
  6. This is the first I've heard about a 500 ft Intamin at Magic Mtn. Can anyone point me towards a news source or tell me more about this. Living in SoCal, this is exciting news! Dan
  7. Can someone explain what is D23? Is it a Disney club only for people over the age of 23? Is it for people who have had disney season passes for over 23 years? What is it? Its killin' me! Thanks, Dan
  8. By Jolly I've think you've got it! I took a look at the China trip and I believe it was "Crystal Wings" at Happy Valley that I was thinking of. Really is a beutiful coaster in my mind but I love seeing the other suggestions. Is there a forum topic on rides like these that are either interwoven with mountains / rocks or that dive among natural terrain? I would love to see more coasters like these. Thanks again, Dan
  9. I have a tough one for you guys, mostly because I'm not at all organized but you did a TPR report on a rollercoaster park about 1 year ago and one coaster in particular caught my interest. It was extremely well themed and involved a rollercoaster going through man-made mountains and cliffs, like giant stalagmites and stalagtites. It was definately synthetically made and there might have been a castle theme going on...but I'm not sure. Can't remember for the life of me but I think it was a foreign park outside the US? Do you guys have a brief list of coasters that you know that I can google to see if I can find it? Thanks! Dan
