Hi everybody... Well, I don't ask for much, but here's something that's going on that is very exciting to me. Kennywood Park is having a "name the new ride" contest and my suggestion, "Pittsburgh Pendulum", was selected among the favorites. Kennywood's website has voting for a brief time and I am asking (ok, begging) my friends, coworkers, etc to go online and vote for me. I would really love to go to Kennywood and see a ride name that I came up with. So, all you have to do is go to the Kennywood website, fill out your name and email (don't worry, Kennywood won't sell your info), and vote for "Pittsburgh Pendulum", which is the 3rd name down. Here's the link: http://www.kennywood.com/funzone/name_ride_vote_form.php Voting started Tuesday and goes to late Wednesday night. If more than one person submitted the same name, the first person who submitted it will be the "winner". Also, Kennywood will make the choice from the top 3 names, so I guess in theory, the popular choice may not win, but still... Thanks for your help! Kennywood is about 40 minutes from my house, with Conneaut Lake Park about 80 miles north and Waldameer about 100 miles north, Idlewild about 2 hours east, Lakemont/Delgrossos about 2.5 hours, Geauga Lake about 2 hours... It's my first post, sorry it's dull...I could go on and on and list every park within a reasonable driving distance, but "reasonable" to me might differ from other's...then again, if we are all enthusiasts, I suppose you all might understand!
