  1. Actually, the tigers are happy with being able to watch the guests up close! They love to stalk the keepers, and now they have hundreds of people(victims) to stalk and pounce on! There are a couple that are still getting used to all the people, but for the most part, they are very happy about it. The orangutans as well. They are just as curious about all the people as the people are about them. Yesterday I saw an orangutan stay with a little girl who had two stuffed tiger toys for like 10 minutes, just following them and being curious about them. If you go, make sure you watch the keeper talks. The orangutans have a window with chain link on it so the keepers can do training and touch the animals right in front of the guests. There is even a button the orangutans can push to squirt people with water! The tiger keepers also have a 'mesh' wall that they can do training at. The Jungle Flyers were up today, and running on all tracks.
  2. The announcement /media event for the Congo project is September 6th. I already saw a commercial, and it is more animal based, with some 2 family friendly rides. The commercial didn't have much detail, but the animal displays are cutting edge. So check the media on the 6th!
  3. I cant wait. Although, I do have some trepidation about Universal being able to pull off the depth and detail of this world. There is so much there, I hope they really give it the detail and dignity it deserves.
  4. I can't wait to ride it at night during Summer Nights. For the arguments going on I have some insight to that. Actually, Sheikra was supposed to be floorless from the beginning. But the cars/technology/design wasn't ready yet. So they bought both with the end intention to make Sheikra floorless. Why do you think it only took a few weeks to change it up? It was already planned with the movable floor in mind, no huge demolition/refit, those new floors slid in like a glove. And BGA always touted Sheikra as the First dive coaster in America. So this is the 'First' dive coaster going floorless. That is what they are trying to say. And I know exactly what is going on in Congo for 2008. No credits, sorry, but very cool all the same, and worth a trip. Shhhhhh.......
