As I'm sure you all know, the reason Ride Host went down was that the domain name expired without the owner (me) knowing. This was because I'd incorrectly entered the email address that the renewal reminder should have been sent to - and just wasn't aware that it was due for renewal! Since the day the Ride Host domain was hijacked, I've been trying to re-claim it. We had some really nice features which were about to go live when we lost the domain so I've been desperate to get it back. Anyway, to my great delight it became available again recently and it's back in my hands. We'll be setting up the all new (and permanent!) Ride Host soon, any suggestions are of course welcome... In the meantime though, I just wanted to point out that Ride Host was backed up, so if you have any specific track files that you would like to retrieve - feel free to PM me...

Just to let you know guys, Ride Host was experiencing some problems due to some illegal file sharing sites using the site to host mp3 files. All of a sudden mp3 files were receiving tens of thousands of downloads which is what caused the upset. Because of the abuse, audio files can no longer be uploaded, but the service should be much more reliable because of this. Don't expect to ever see similar problems in the future - Ride Hosts stability is a priority Just as a side note, we're working on some initial ideas for a re-vamp of the site which will hopefully offer some useful tools for uploading .nltrack and .nlpack files
