  1. Whoo hoo hoo lots of Dan and Joey... On the next Japan trip... Sounds like global cultural clashes coming up... Oh, Dan and Joey are so cooool like rock stars and sexy like pro-wrestlers and clever like dam-building rodents... Hmm, we'll ponder on that last one then come back... probably... or not.
  2. So, for the spain/germany trip, the online bitching/nagging/temper throwing from the non participating forum members related to delays in the mini updates... Now it's apparently all about the face time received in mini updates by some and not others and perceived as unfair by third parties who also turn out to be non participants of the trip... We didn't take part in any of these two polemical campaigns and as "glass half full" people we enjoy seeing how this forum can be the place of such passionate and opinionated discussions but we'd also hate being excluded from the real debate that will need to be solved someday... As newcomers to forum participation but long-time perusers of the main site (back in summer 2004 if memory serves) we have to ask the question and that question will need to be answered: WHERE HAVE DAN & JOEY GONE ? It's been months and months since we last read about acceptable amounts of wetness and jewish innuendo and this situation is simply heartwrenching... Oh, and all the hundreds of you have fun with the rest of your midwest trip, we'll keep on the lookout for new miniupdates, not bitching about anything, like the nice clean cut kids that we remain at heart... You'd ruffle our hair if you could, we swear (hmm, the integrated forum spellcheck says heartwrenching is not a valid word but again we never claimed our use of english as a foreign language was valid)
  3. Let's be honest up front, we have nowhere near the hundredth of the experience of theme parks that the most accomplished TPRers have amassed throughout the years (let alone their beloved founding fathers who can now enjoy true parenthood and who shall never be thanked enough for everything they give to the nerdy internet community) BUT (you knew a "but" had to come) when we rode Black Mamba in the summer of 2006, shortly after its opening, we didn't find it lacked any *punch* and had all blood down in our feet by the time we rode it for the third time... Which leads to a few questions: are we so pathetic and inexperienced that what still feels like the craziest coaster we've ever rode is not so good ? Could it be possible (please, don't let us be that pathetic) that the Phantasialand powers-that-be have somehow toned down Black Mamba over the course of a year ? Anyway, thanks a lot again, we curse our 8-hour a day 6-day a week work responsibilities that always prevent us from taking part in a TPR trip... We know you'd like us, we're so likable (and hopefully, we'll start contributing more to the forum soon). Thanks for reading (and sorry for the spots of dodgy english)
  4. It would have to be De Efteling (personal number 1 theme park from our narrow list of personal theme parks) Walibi Belgium (a small dose of patriotism doesn't hurt and it's got great coasters, the best ones in Belgium at least) Alton Towers (if you'll be in the UK that is) or EuropaPark (if you'll stay on the continent that is) or Parc Astérix (if you're rather a francophile that is)
