  1. Justic League didn't cost over $10 million, since there were two built and the buildings were already there.
  2. Sure was, the sign is a bit wordy to basically say were sorry it's closed at this time.
  3. You can defend the park all you want, but the simple fact is that Fright Fest at SFSL is very weak compared to it's cross state rival at WOF. Worlds of Fun has almost double the haunted attractions (all included with ticket) than what SFSL has and it's one of the most glaring differences between Six Flags and Cedar Fair. One of the major problems with Fright Fest is that it really doesn't include all of the park, there will be several areas that will have no decorations at all and then there will be other areas that actually do look good, but lots of people will still show up anyway and in reality that is all that matters to Six Flags. Justice League is probably down for quite awhile, when you have to put a sign outside the ride it's never a good sign.
  4. Whatever is broke on Superman is at the top of the tower, complicating the repairs, it could open before the park goes to weekend operations or maybe they will just wait until the park is closed during the week to fix it. Early rumors point to not much happening in 2016.
  5. 2016 announcement day for all Six Flags additions is on Thursday, September 3.
  6. Rumor is that the extra 8th car came from SFOT, don't know if it's true or not.
  7. The tube slides pumps went out several weeks ago, probably waiting on parts.
  8. Saturday was the busiest day the park has had in several years (in reality it was probably a typical Saturday in the 90's), it was really the perfect storm of events - bring a friend free and the rain for the entire week before (attendance on Friday was in the hundreds when the park closed at 1), the park basically doubled it's attendance total for the previous 5 days (last week) in one day.
  9. All I will say about the attendance in 2014 is that it fell by around 6% and that the attendance at SFSL bounces up and down a little each season for around the last 10, if you drew a trend line on a graph it's basically flat for that entire time.
  10. Media day is still scheduled for Thursday morning and the ride is likely going to be open on Friday night for the Children's Hospital buyout. When it will be open to the public is still a question and since the park hasn't announced anything yet it may not be open this weekend, but it still could be.
  11. The ride is scheduled to open on May 29 (with media day on the 28th), it's not a final confirmed date yet, the 29th is also Children's Hospital night which is a very important event for the park, so the goal is next Friday.
  12. I believe that opening day is now TBD, I knew something was up when nothing about the opening was in the Six Flags newsletter e-mail (every other park had an article that announced the opening day of their ride except SFSL). I don't know exactly why they are behind, but I have always thought that this ride was way too far behind the SFOT version to open at the same time and it's not shocking at all that this has happened.
  13. There is not a ton of info./pictures out there of Injun Joe's Cave. I know that the ride system/boats were designed by Arrow Development, but all the sets were designed and built in house by SFOMA. I'm pretty sure that when the ride became the Time Tunnel and then Legends Of The Dark Castle, both versions were also done in house by SFOMA. I can never find out who the designer of Castaway Kids was. When the ride became Scooby-Doo, Sally Corp. heavily modified the boats and other parts of the ride. Of course now everything but the building has changed to become Justice League. I guarantee that nothing to do with any of the past versions is still at the park anywhere (except for a few Scooby props), it's been 36 years since Injun Joe's Cave became the Time Tunnel.
  14. The final (EDIT) three cars have arrived at the ride (EDIT: 7 in total) and it appears to be all hands on deck on the facade (there will likely be major changes to it by the weekend).
  15. Two more fancy, expensive light blue cars for JLBFM are at the park now (there should be two more coming soon, 4 are here now), work on the facade is progressing more every day, but no final paint yet, opening still scheduled for a month from now.
  16. I don't believe that the cars for JLBFM are at the park yet (along with the two main animatronics?), if they are then they are being hidden well.
  17. No real idea, the park would have to provide the inside photos/updates.
  18. The Hall of Justice facade is basically complete (not painted at all), it looks like the one at SFOT, the DC area is just a mess right now, the ride is still scheduled to open Memorial Day weekend (or in about 60 days).
  19. Construction seems to have been going on slowly, since most of the major parts for the ride were not at the park until this week. The new que/entrance building has had all the steel suports up, but none of the new "skin" is on the new addition area. Almost all the construction is happening inside the building and it's probably nothing really major, but that should all change pretty quickly. The exit for the ride will go through the small shop across from JB's (also the exit for Shazam!), the store will be remodeled and become Superheroes vs. Villians. The ride will not open until May 23 and hopefully sometime Six Flags will say what the secret elements for the ride are, because there are a couple of virtual firsts included.
  20. The Highland Fling cars are not new, they are actually the Wagon Wheel cars from SFFT (and before that SFOT). They are also the last remaining set in the Six Flags system, unless some park has some in their boneyard.
  21. There has been progress since the picture was taken, most if not all the roof support beams for the new additional area are now up.
  22. The photo is from this week, it's basically the current view.
  23. There is not a whole lot going on at the park, you can see from the construction photos that there is not really much to see but walls (almost nothing to do with the new ride is even at the park yet). The ride has a late spring opening target date, which almost for sure means that it will not be open until sometime in May (basically corporate policy). I believe that park is getting a Go Fresh Café, Six Flags new healthy food offering that some of the other SF parks already have, but I don't know what it's replacing, I'd guess Character Cafe since it's menu was already similar.
  24. Batman Nights was presented for I think only one season (1993), the screen was on top of the arcade building (old sky-way station) next to the Joker boat. There were "fight scenes" on top of the buildings with Batman and other characters I think, this was before Batman: The Ride was built so the area didn't have any of the Batman set themeing yet.
  25. Not that a whole lot changed from 2013, but brand new 2014 satellite images are up on google maps (taken sometime during Fright Fest).
