  1. Awesome review, Robb! I also live in Orlando and am completely addicted (and pretty darned good at) the iFly here. I think last count I have about 12 hours and am learning how to do flips and fly head down! That said, the idea of having a wind tunnel on a cruise ship is almost too good to be true. A couple questions: 1) Is there and upcharge and if so what is it? 2) How many times can you go, and how many minutes of flying per visit? 3) Was it very busy/did you have to schedule your time in advance or could you just walk up? I really appreciate it an this great review!!
  2. I'm thinking of flying in Saturday (arriving in LAX around 4pm) and then driving up to Valencia and checking into the Marriott courtyard up there. I'll be leaving early Monday to catch my 1pm flight home. I'm a full time employee and MBA student so not too much time for leisure How long is the drive between LAX and Valencia? I know last time I did it (coming back from SFMM) took me a LONG time as I-5 was jammed. I'm guessing my ride up won't be bad (it's Saturday) but Monday morning might be bad..... Thanks again!
  3. Hi all - long time casual lurker. I've been itching to ride some new coasters other than the ones we have here in Orlando for some time. I have only been to one other "coaster event" way back in '98 at Six Flags Great Adventure - the ERT was awesome, though. So I got this flyer and looked it over, and this looks like it is a very well thought out and overall high-quality event. That said, it's gonna cost me about $600 to do this - I've been to SFMM twice (last time was about 4 or 5 years ago), and both times it was packed and X was closed, etc. Not good experiences. So, I ask you - would you do this or save the $600 for another experience? This does look like fun and $600 is pretty cheap for a x-country flight/car/hotel/etc.... I don't know anyone, so I'd like to meet up with some people - are ya all nice folks LOL? thanks for the insight Dominic
  4. This dissapointing thing is that a year ago, I'd totally agree. Mythos was my #1 restaurant since 2001. But ever since they've changed the menu, done away with the deserts, it's really gone downhill, IMO. --Robb Agree on BOTH points! What about Tchop chop over in the Royal Pacific hotel at Universal?? It's pricey but really good (better than the much more expensive "Emeril's" in CityWalk)
