  1. interesting ride, looks cool but does anyone else get the feeling this coaster woulda fit in better at another theme park? It just doesnt seem to mesh into cedar point.... And the short trains are gonna be a nightmare for the lines, I feel like Intamin is shortening there trains just so the launch mechanisms will work better. And as Ive said before, whats up with only 3 inversions? Come on now! An immelman after the 95* would been sick, loop after the turn outta the tunnel, cobra roll over the pond, Zero G at the end? Thats 8 inverions right there, much more fun than 3 and it would have been easily practical... I should start designing the coasters for this park, why do they hate inverions?!? ...and that drop reminds me of Ultra Twister at Astroworld (RIP). Fun intense drop but so short! Dive machines are awesome because you sustain the 90*, or Millenium Force and that 80*, its intense because of the gargantuan size of it. On this ride right when your 95* your whipping right back to horizontal, might be more painful than fun... just a thought. I know all im doing is bashing, dont get me wrong, this coaster will be fun, its gotta lotta cool little elements, but I just dont think its quite up to CP's standards of there new coasters...
  2. HAHAHA omg that is the funniest damn thing I have ever seen Wes. I was just kiding earlier, I dont even believe in religion
  3. ...you gotta be kiding me When every one of these coasters came out it WAS the biggest and the best. There not gonna tear down a new coaster everytime something bigger comes out. People are so unappreciative of the incredible rides at this park it blows my mind
  4. Hey man, sorry for having an opinion... my bad, I'll never say whats on my mind again because its "pathtic", "stupid", and "immature". Your right, I shoulda said this will be the best coaster I have ever seen, that woulda been a lot more "mature" right? What was I thinking?!?!?! ...yeah and Cedar Point has no amazing rides, your right again... that 400 foot tall coaster that launches you over a hundred miles an hour in a couple of seconds is definitely mediocre at best. 200 foot and 300 foot hypers? Psh, REAL original cedar point!! One of the best inverts in the world, meh I'd rather ride Batman, and theres like ten of those! All those huge woodies and that enourmous standup coaster... subpar at best... Simply given the layout and footprint I feel like the ride could have been better. What if the ride dropped 95*, and then went straight into a Immelman? That woulda been a fun and easy substitution to the design. Over the lake a cobra roll would have fit in nicely. I never said this coaster wont be fun, of course it will, I was just expecting a little more. SORRY
  5. personally, not impressed. combining a bunch of small elements from certain coasters and putting them all in one doesnt make it a great coaster (i.e. launch, but not a fast launch, steep drop, but not a big drop, inversions, but only three, an airtime hill, but hypers do it better, twists and turns... wohoo....) Sure, it'll be fun, but its too extreme for a family ride, and too simple for a really intense coaster. This is the first coaster they have annouced in a decade that I havent been excited about
  6. Yeah, I dont think Screamscape would post a piece of faulty concept art. The coaster looks fun, but I dont like how they added in so many twists and turns instead of inversions. Inversions are just more fun than helixes. There could have easily been ten inversions on this coaster if they had decided to build it that way... but then again why would Cedar Point actually want to build a rollercoaster with a lot of inverions
  7. yeah lookin good, it might really be a dual launch which would kick A$$. I always thought itd be cool if a coaster launched into a giant loop or immelman, maybe this coaster will have that feature? ...but really what is that odd lookin track for on the straight away, does it have something to do with launch mechanics?
  8. Way to go Sherlock, you solved the mystery that Cedar Point is trying to keep this coaster a mystery. The fact that an inversion is in the background of the ? is clearly an indication of what the emphasis of this coaster is on
  9. Why would you be shocked? The large majority of the track isnt even up yet, and the coaster could easily dip and dive over and under current track to fit in extra inversions. Collosus doesnt use a big footprint but fit in ten inversions, and two inversions are already up here back to back. I'm sure theyll be at least four more, maybe up to nine more inversions. ...plus, on Cedar Points website the teaser picture shows an inversion with a ? .... I think there trying to drop a point that they are serious about inversions on this one, some people just dont take obvious hints as well as others do i guess
  10. What is this coaster? A launched, possibly dual launched Intamin thats gonna have a lotta inversions, and maybe a new train design. As I said, start the inversion counter, my guess is double digits (who knows how many inversions? thats really the only speculation we have left?!). What lift hill coaster do you know of that has been built without the lift coming first? plus no oversized supports? Use your heads you crazy people! Someone get that overhead view back and lets rework some possible layouts given what we know from track in place
  11. This is my first post on here but I keep up with this thread a lot. Funny people, but you guys blow my mind how blind you are to whats going on.. 1. Its not an aquatrax, its not an aquatrax, its not an aquatrax. Never bring this up again, EVER. If its an aquatrax, the world is flat and Jesus is coming tomorrow. 2. Cedar Point has purposely built this rollercoaster in a certain manner. They started off by building all of the low sections and helixes to bring down expectations. An inversion showed up and it was awesome. There will be more, many more. I doubt the way they are building it was the most convienient way to do so 3. Why do I know there will be many more inversions? Because the two inversions are back to back. Why have a rollercoaster that goes through a severall thousand foot layout, only to have two inversions right next to each other and never go into another one? My gut really tells me this coaster will break the track inversion record, and if not, at least 6 or 7 inversions. 4. My guess is itll launch at around 60-70 MPH, maybe have a dual launch which would be awesome, and maybe have a unique train design like floorless or something. This is Cedar Point folks, there not gonna build a random stupid subpar ordinary coaster. Goin in a new direction? A lotta inversions. This thing is gonna be one intense bad motha fu@%$#. Get pumped and start the inversion counter
