  1. The brakes on the Giant are rare earth magnets, not electro. They are a combination of actuating and static. The actuators use compressed air to stay open and fail closed. Neither of the magnetic brakes physically touch the fins. Adam
  2. The Ride Entertainment Group (http://www.rideentertainment.com) is looking for your photos of rides we have sold/installed/operated over the years. A full description of what we need is at our facebook page ( ) and pasted below. Thanks to Robb and his team for letting us post this here. Best regards, Adam --------------------------------- Over the years we have sold a lot of rides. Unfortunately, sometimes we only get to do the sale or the installation, and don't get many (if any) photos. This is where we need help from our Facebook friends. Ride Entertainment is looking for photos to update the projects page on our website so we can include everything that we have worked on over the years. Since things have gone digital we have a lot of photos, but not a lot of the older rides. Therefore, we are looking for some help pulling together photos of the rides listed below, either running or under construction. If you have any that you would like to share with us for use on our website they would appreciated, here’s the fine print: 1) You retain copyright of your photo, but you give Ride Entertainment permission to use it as we see fit on our websites. 2) Ride Entertainment will give photo credit when yours is used. 3) Please send a digital image to sales@rideentertainment.com . In the email include your name and which ride it is (some of these towers can look the same!). Naturally we have to give something back for all this. For every different ride you send a photo of, your name goes in the proverbial pot one time (multiple photos of the same ride don’t get multiple entries, but they are appreciated). After that we pull a name out of the hat and one winner will receive a random bag of coaster schwag for your troubles. We would send you a ride vehicle, but unfortunately they just don’t fit in the bag. Thanks for you for your help, leave us a comment in the thread if you have any questions. 3. I uploaded my videos to Youtube. The main site for them is: http://youtube.com/user/CoasterToolProd . The older ones are admittedly pretty rough, but by the Canada's wonderland video they are watchable. Enjoy, Adam
