  1. Was there the same day with two of my kids, and agree 100% with everything said above. The park was definitely not ready for primetime yet. But, Quantum Accelerator is exactly what it's supposed to be -- a fun family coaster (though it's highest point is on par with the top of Thunderbolt next door). Snapped some themeing pix while in line; they've cobbled together a bit of a story. It's a nice touch. Prof. Screamore (apparently displaced from the Baltimore area) took a look at wheels and horses (?) and possibly airplane engines, combined it with canned steam, and built his test engine in Crackaxle Canyon. At least that's my take.

  2. I fully agree with you. And if you're gonna use it in the creative/marketing field you have to at least give stuff a second look to make sure it's accurate. The t-shirts at Kings Island and Cedar Point are horrendous. Maverick has a spike, Orion has 3 seats per row, the rides have catch phrases that have never once been associated with said ride (Orion: Break the Scream Barrier)...

  3. So... Valleyfair finally made the announcement on their social media accounts (about time), and I've got to say... what a mess. One of their images of the kid slides plus lagoon area includes more slides than they actually reveal in the announcement. To me ai has a use for everything, it's a great research engine tool, but it doesn’t belong in the creative and marketing field. This announcement (and the great america project 2027 teasers) are an example of just that. Of all the ways to cut the budget, Ai is one I predict will do more damage than good and cause a massive disconnect between the theme park industry and their community. Thanks for listening to my Ted Talk. Am I the only onr that thinks this way, idk. Curious to hear what other thoosies have to say.

  4. Personally it doesn't bother me too much. I just had the Valleyfair only meal plan and used it when my son and I would go. When the whole family would go, we'd either pack something or just drive over to Culver's/McDonald's and eat there. I can see why they did this, Enchanted Parks didn't sell us the meal plans, Six Flags did. The fact that they're offering refunds is lost money to them because the initial purchases went to Six Flags. Unless they have a deal with Six Flags to get reimbursed from the reimbursed, doubt it though. I'm interested in seeing how much they lower prices like they said they want too. If a $20 meal comes down to $15, I probably won't hesitate to grab something. It would also be nice if they could construct a picnic area outside of the park.
