tatsu_dude Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 (edited) I'm a pretty active RCT3 player, so I've started this tread to show off my projects and get some constructive criticism. First up is an RMC hybrid I "finished" around a year ago, but was too lazy to add the surroundings and station. Now I've nearly finished the ride, and am using the working title Banshee. (So creative right?) Please comment below with any thoughts, I'd really like to breathe new life into this project, the coaster looks a little bland sitting there by itself right now. Introducing Banshee! I'm really looking for a better name, so if you have any suggestions, please post them below. An overview of the layout. Here you can see that there are no flat rides or anything surrounding the coaster, something I'd like to change. The over bank. This was a pain in the ass to support. Never mind, the whole thing was a pain in the ass to support! But mostly the inversions and banked turns. The crazy ejector air finale. Like it's namesake, Banshee is a whole different beast at night. Awesome lighting is awesome. The zero-G, the first of two inversions. Here's a teaser of another project I'm working on, which is much more of a WIP than Banshee. Edited October 5, 2014 by A.J.
tatsu_dude Posted November 16, 2014 Author Posted November 16, 2014 This is Sandcastle Park, a seaside park inspired by Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk and Coney Island. Yes, I know there is no ocean near my seaside park. It will run alongside the park, but I don't plan to put the park on a boardwalk, just to have the ocean across the street from the park, a la Luna Park. The major coasters and layout of the park are done for the most part, but I still need to fill in the gaps with more flats and some carny games. I also would like to have a dark ride, preferably a Laff in the Dark, but I have no idea how I would go about theming one and what CS to use. Please let me know what you think of the park! An overview of Sandcastle Park, in all its WIP glory. I like night shots. Thanks for reading, and please leave feedback! The park's signature ride is the Racer, a woodie built in-house by park staff. This coaster differs from the PTC racers in that the two lift hills are separated and the return runs are close together, leading to a more dramatic finish. My dark ride. A park like this really isn't complete without a dark ride, so I'd really like this one to be great. Can anyone recommend some dark ride sets, or give some tips? The midway and parking lot. Here you can see that the parking lot entrance has the cars driving under the Racer's structure. The back of the park feels more permanent, and will get trees and minimal theming eventually. This is Fire Bird, a large Arrow looper with interlocking loops. It interacts with the lake and many of the flats. Like all seaside parks, Sandcastle Park looks better at night. The Racer is lit up blue, making it a little creepy looking.
