March Magic Mountain Trip

So one of my best friends recently got an exchange student RA position in California and we recently had the idea for me to fly out to LA when I'm on Spring Break and I'll have a free place to crash. But being the roller coaster junkie that I am, I can't be that close to Magic Mountain and just ignore it . I've done some research and seen that Magic Mountain is open in late March, but with reduced hours.

 

So my question is, does anybody know what the crowds are like there in March? Will I be able to hit all of the major coasters (everything that's open, at least) in one day, or should I splurge for some Fast Passes? And what are the typical rates on Fast Passes? I'd also appreciate any other trip tips that you may have. Thanks for your help in advance!
