CoasterDynamix on Kickstarter

It looks like CoasterDynamix has started a Kickstarter campaign to fund a production run of some of their projects. For those of you that don't know how Kickstarter works, it's a bit like a PBS pledge drive for small projects. Companies and individuals create a project goal (in this case, raise $50,000 by 4/10/2012), and supporters can then donate towards those goals that they think are worthwhile. While you can contribute any amount over $1, there are rewards for certain pledge levels. You only pay if the goal is reached, so there's no risk of funding a failed project.

 

Coaster Dynamix has put up a series of rewards, ranging from $15 for a Statix model and $35 for a Sidewinder working launched coaster all the way up to $500 for a hand built birch wooden coaster model and $5000 for a custom designed coaster. Again, you only have to pay (and only get the reward) if they reach there goal.
