Liam. Posted July 24, 2011 Posted July 24, 2011 This is a ride that I made to test some things out. I felt bad for submitting something so low quality for the Summer Showdown, while all the others made fantastic dark rides. As a "response" to my horrendous production, I decided to make a ride so people with dark ride experience could help me to "iron out the kinks" with my work and effects during the ride. That being said, I know this is not a great ride. Its my problem with them, because I have this idea of something fantastic, but just can't produce it. The same happened during the Showdown. I need real help identifying whats holding the experience back. Well, how are you going to help me without a ride correct? I made one to show off, or be critiqued on rather. Its a ride based on dreaming and all that jazz. No real story, the ride just progresses. Tell me what you think I can improve or do differently. BE HARSH! How else am I supposed to learn right? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a91KuPJcBIg
SoCalCoasters Posted July 24, 2011 Posted July 24, 2011 It needs some kind of common transition element, like a puff of purple smoke or something when transitioning from set to set...This could easily be done with particle effects. Also, If possible, I'd extend the very first scene in the house, then have a very dramatic trasnsition/entrance into the dreamstate. Altogether, work out the transitions and it's perfect!
