mindvirus Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 Hey. I've been invisible around TPR for a while because I dont like to post. ;] Anyways, I have a few questions : Why do K'nex and CoasterDynamix coasters move at like seriously high speeds? What does : ERT & IMO mean?
Goliath513 Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 ERT = Exclusive Ride Time IMO = In My Opinion
Jim S. Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 1) Because the gravity is still the same. 2) Exclusive Ride Time 3) In My Opinion
asr Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 ERT = Exclusive Ride Time, basically meaning that only one specific group (Usually a group of coaster enthusiasts holding an event at a park) can ride a specific ride, or set of rides at a given time. IMO = In My Opinion. It is an internet slang. I shouldn't have to explain what the phrase it is an abbreviation for means I can't answer your question about model coasters though. EDIT: Doh, I spent so much time explaining myself that two other people beat me. Atleast I can still say I had more complete explanations though
WillMontu Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 Models move "fast" because the acceleration due to gravity is the same for models as it is for full scale rides. (The reason why some objects fall faster than others is due to air resistance). It's all simple physics The acceleration caused by gravity is about 9.8 meters/second/second.
