texashorns82492 Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 Ok, for our band trip this year, we're going to Schlitterbahn Galveston (instead of New Braunfels because we got stormed out last year). And so yeah, here it comes. What are the slides I need to ride or miss. Or any other tips, por favor.
ParkTrips Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 it's not that big of a park, you can do everything in a few hours. Logic tells us that the body slides will have the worst capacity, followed by the master blasters, and then the family raft ride. However, in popularity terms, those rides are in the opposite order, so choosing the raft ride or master blasters first may be the best bet to minimize wait times. Also, be sure to ride the lazy river through the retractable part of the park.
rileybrands Posted May 14, 2007 Posted May 14, 2007 I was just there over winter with ACE. Only the closed section was open to us, but they did give us a tour of the new slide tower, which has F5, the insane twisting slide that actually looks like it could be painful, and the Cliffhangers, the 80 ft tall near vertical slides. I'm not sure when they open, but they should be the most crowded. I really liked Rohr, the 70 ft tall pink body slide. The fall is quite blissful, because you enter the slide and take a small dip, followed by a straight section, followed by the drop. Of course, with all these types of slides, WEDGIE! The Faust and Furious slides are very intense and fun. The Guada-Loopy covered raft slides are fun, but not amazing. Like I said, I didn't get to ride any of the outside rides, so I don't known anything about the Master Blaster or family raft slide, but they look fun.
