But really, have any of the employees at Six Flags St. Louis ever actually gone "above and beyond" doing their job?? It might be hard to see, but we have a couple employees on the board who really do seem to go above and beyond. Although I haven't personally encountered them at the park, I can only assume based on the manner in which they go out of their way to bring us detailed knowledge of attractions and operations, that they probably do a pretty decent job of going above and beyond when they're on the clock. I had no idea that my post would cause a chain reaction. I was trying to bring some positivity into this thread because it has been mostly negative lately. My point was some of the employees really get into their jobs sometimes there and make people smile. Some of them even make personal connections with others. I know how you feel...

The comments from those surveys do get read and they get sent out to the individual departments Managers and Supervisors. We try and make improvements based on the comments but are usually told to "make it happen" without getting any additional funds or resources. As for the other stuff on the surveys I'm not sure who sees that. I'm not even sure if Corporate reads the comments or if it is just to the individual parks. All I know is the departments do see them. I usually make it a goal to point out any staff who were going above and beyond doing their job and really enjoy working in their spot during my visit on the surveys.

Sounds like you had a good time. Do you have a favorite coaster/ride? I wasn't able to ride Justice League when I was there last Saturday because of course it kept breaking down. At one point it was down for over an hour because they had to remove a train that was midway through the course. My favorite coaster is Screamin' Eagle because of the airtime. The back seat has the best airtime. I felt like I was flying out of my seat most of the ride. I also love The Boss and American Thunder. Wow! That's crazy! I hope you get a chance to ride it the next time you visit.

Just got back from the park. American Thunder had only one train running today, but the wait for it was really short. Everything was mostly a walk-on, so we rode everything we wanted to. I rode Justice League for the first time ever and it was awesome! I enjoyed it a lot. Boss had one train running, but they got another staff member there, so they let people on the other one.

I had the same thing happen to me on the boss about a month ago. I set my phone down (along with another person's phone) on the loading station and they handed it right back to me. They said I had to hold onto the whole time, and that leaving items on the loading station was not allowed. I explained to them that I had no where to put it (like a pocket or a bag), but they just said to secure it. I worried about my phone falling out the whole ride. One reason that I believe they make you do this is because they don't want to risk anyone's stuff being stolen, therefore making you hold onto it. In my defense, I didn't visit the park for about 3 years prior to last month, so I was unaware of this.

My friends tried out virtual reality yesterday and it made them both sick. They both said it wasn't worth the wait. I didn't try it out because i'm not a big fan of not seeing where i'm going, and the line for the regular Ninja was much shorter. One of my friend's headsets started glitching in the middle of ride and couldn't see anything. Also, it takes a lot longer than it should to get the trains loaded due to the VR.

Me and the SO went after work yesterday. Got there at maybe 6, and Thunder River was operational. The fact that it was drained only a few hours prior is nutso and makes me want to see how they fill it. I would have thought that filling the entire thing would take longer than a few hours. Ohh okay. I wasn't there for the whole day due to the heat, but some of the staff were saying that they would be opening Mr. Freeze and Thunder River back up late afternoon.

Interesting day today as far as rides go. They were working on Mr. Freeze today, so that was closed. Since they were working on Mr. Freeze, they drained the water out of thunder river and closed it as well. Batman was down for a little bit because during testing it stopped on the lift hill. Went over to mine train, and it was stuck, so it was closed down for a little bit as well. Maintenance was working on superman and boomerang is still down.
