  1. Wonderland closed for two main reasons: 1. It wasn't getting any customers and was making no profit. 2. The location in Western Sydney meant that crime rates were high, which is what frightened guests away. The Intamin Drop Tower is no longer, however the motor and cables were bought by Dreamworld in an effort to build their own version: the much bigger Giant Drop. I also know something about the major roller coaster. I don't remember the name, the big one, not The Demon. It was in such poor condition when Wonderland closed that it was left standing because it was believed that it would soon collapse of its own accord. However, it took a second effort by the former park management to finally demolish the ride.
  2. I am planning to go on a world tour of theme parks in the year 2017, and I need some help organising. My rules are: - I want to visit every continent (obviously except Antarctica) and at least one theme park on each - I'm starting and finishing in Melbourne, Australia - I've already planned my Australian theme parks, being in Melbourne, Sydney and the Gold Coast. What I need help with is planning the rest of my trips. Obvious choices are Disneyland, Six Flags theme parks, Cedar Point etc, but could anyone give me ideas for where to go around the rest of the world? Any assistance is greatly appreciated. -jhunt2
