  1. This time we've made a little trip to PortAventura. Park is lovely placed by the sea (great views from the highest points such as Shambhala or Huracan Condor). We've wonder which day is better for the trip, because on a weekday PA is open from 10 am to 7 pm, but on Saturday the're open till 2 am. We've decided to go there on Thursday and when we saw where the queues can start during the weekends we already knew that it was better decision. Furthermore, PortAventura has no such a huge offer to spend there 16 hours. We've started with the Furius Baco - it was the only one working coaster from the opening hour. We've been the first in queue and have completely no chance to choose the row what is complete misunderstanding for me. The same history happened on the Dragon Khan, where we've been directed to the backs despite free seats in the first rows. Sick. The situation looked better on Shambhala. Back to the topic - the other coasters were opened gradually, Dragon at 11 am, Shambhala at 11.30 am and then the others. Dragon looks fantastic. A really long track made with some idea (for sure not ordinary) and a a lot of loops and turns. Unfortunately as it turned out, too much of them. Everytime I leaved Dragon, my head just wanted to explode and it is not normal in my coaster experience to be honest. Khan is a very interesting coaster, but the roughness makes that the overall is no more than 4-/6. Let's go to the Shambhala, which in a fact met all the expectations. It's not easy to feel that Shambhala is a few metres higher than Silver Star, especially that it enters to the top a little faster I think. Feelings from the ride are similar to experience from SS, however on Shambhala we have defenitely more air times, the track is longer and has more interesting elements like water passage. And the ride is so smooth, aah wonderful! Usually we spend the last hour on riding all the coasters the last time, but this time because of Shambhala itself and to be honest, because of no equal alternatives, we enjoy Shambhala 7 times in a row no getting out from the wagon (so few people at the end...) And one more word about the other attractions. Woodie Stampida, where on queue we've to choose the path, which directs us to the red or blue wagons. Interesting idea, double wooden coaster side by side - something new for us. But... unfortunately the nightmare from the Movie Park's Bandit returned. Well looked woodie turns out to be useless because gives you no more than pain of the ribs and other part of bodies instead of fun. Old track and very tight wagons is the reason. We've passed the blue one and not decided to try the red. Completely awful. Huracan Condor - believing the wiki is higher than Scream in Heide Park. We haven't noticed that, but maybe the drop takes a little bit longer. And few word about the new one - Mayan secret. Usually not ride attractions are not impressive for me, but I have to say that this maze of mirrors is quite interesting and really surprising. Oh... I forgot about one thing. All the restaurants were closed that day - we've spend half an hour looking for a normal dinner and it ended with the hamburger. I understand that it's a weekday, and that is offseason, but every restaurant closed? It's something wrong. All in all, I expected much more from PortAventura. Shambhala tries to save the overall note, but it can't be higher than 3+/6.
  2. Hello everyone! Not sure if I'm the only one polish user, but believe me we do have a lot of coasters fans here in my country. I'm one of them We don't have our own theme park yet (the first will be open in 2016 I hope), so I usually travel to german parks. I have been so far in french parks and in the Thorpe Park, but the largest group of parks that I have visited is the group of german parks. During the first weekend of May we have visited Europa Park second time and as we expected it was a great decision Really not so many people on that day, short queues and ride by ride. The perfect day Last time we have been there was 2010, so we have been testing The Wodan first time and I must say that it is a really good wooden coaster. Wodan is not going on an impressive height, has not so many airtimes, but the sudden twists, smooth of ride and especially the speed put this woodie high in my personal rank. Hope you'll understand my not so ideal english and enjoy the photos Greets from Poland. View from the car park The gate. I really like this picture Got wet as usual. Blue Fire. My favourite coaster ever. Euro - Mir. Front or back? Oh, majestic Poseidon! Straight into the water. Wodan's gate. Yay!!! Hearing the alarm sound of launching all the time Upside-down Wooooooooooooooooo I'ts me with my girlfriend Grrrr you should be afraid
