Had a day for my son and so off to visit Six Flags in Arlington..I can't remember a more disappointing time than what I experienced yesterday. I have long enjoyed the park in the past, but as I watched the years go by I am forced to take notice of how sad this once great park has now fallen as a steady decline of customer dissatisfaction and disappointment continue to mount. I thought the visit was unoriginal, fake, and boring. So was the scenery from the present attractions to the old and dilapidatede of better times gone by. It feels as if Six Flags of Texas today is just riding the wave of it's former glory. What a delusion the Board of Directors must be in to continue this fatal course for a once great theme park. It has NO aesthetics, nostalgic appeal, or originality. Maybe the current owners need to visit REAL theme parks like Knotts Berry Farm, or Silver Dollar City to rekindle there creative genius and put something together to rescue this abandon idea beyond adrenaline junkie rides and swaray of expensive gimmicks , which are O.K. but are definatley not the essence of great theme parks alone. I can only say that I felt abandoned to my $59.99 ticket cost at the gate and entering a fun park that appears to revel in there accomplishments that are a step above a traveling carnival.
