  1. I got to see this while looking around New Element (I signed up a week or two ago and I still can't post in the forums and I dunno why) and I have to say, this is just awesome NCSO stuff. The flume and the mine train coaster work so well together and the scenery/theming is gorgeous while retaining that RCT2 charm. I really, really like projects like these, sometimes even more so than the CSO parks. Keep it up
  2. Slow building day today, but here's my first foray into sloped fences that I think worked out pretty well: And the tower to go with it. I wonder: Does it look better if I used that sand tile outside the walls, like I did in the tower above? Or should I just stick to good old grass?
  3. Some progress. Castle gates One of the corner towers I'll probably start a thread that goes something like "Finish the Original Scenarios" when I'm done building the entire castle.
  4. Holy wow, that looks amazing. It's just so clean and it really gives off that RCT vibe. Something I can't explain in detail, haha. But again, that looks amazing.
  5. Some of these designs are very nice. Wicked Dipper's nice, although you had enough track to make a block brake run at the end. Frigatebird's Flight... loved the flow of the track from the first drop up to the loop. It was fun to watch. The batwing and the half-loop + twist were unnecessary and only added more intensity IMO. Dynamite Train's good, though the brakes right after the last drop... not my cup of tea. Too sudden. I liked Shangri-La a lot. It could've had a MCBR after the 4th drop and a bit more twisty track in the end, but it's great. Support work's also nice even without custom scenery. Roaring Beast... fast, exciting, intense. The loop was well-timed, the water splash was a nice addition. Liked the layout even though IMO it's a bit too spaced out. It also would've been better with the regular Wooden RC trains. Pharaoh Frenzy's a good reel. Great flat land addition. Daredevil's a great 4D, the only flaw I could find being the 2nd run (after the MCBR) is way too short. A.I.R. is very good. I don't have any complaints with it except for the 2nd helix. Probably redundant. But it's nice. Mister Twister's pretty good, though it could fit more than 1 train in the circuit easily. Dragonfly probably would've also benefited from a MCBR. I particularly liked how some designs felt smooth and free-flowing. Keep building! I'd like to see more
  6. Holy wow, that carousel. You guys are so good with or without custom scenery D: Speaking of which, I'm trying to give Crazy Castle a more... detailed makeover. Starting with the walls. I was wondering which looks better among the base block or the wood block. Also... are the crenellations okay or should I just use the default medieval fence/wall? wood or block?
  7. I had completed a few RCT2 scenarios a long time ago... then I went to look at NEDesigns and found 5dave's versions of the original scenarios... and felt that I'm still lacking when it comes to scenery. So I decided to start over (with hopefully better path and scenery work), beginning with Crazy Castle. Here's a few screenies of my old CC: I'm probably only going to keep the junior coaster and the go-karts. Draco (left, a SLC with a twist) and Pyre (my attempt on a giant... batwing... thing on a floorless coaster). Will keep them both for the new CC. A forced attempt to make a kid-friendly area and a not-forced attempt at a racing woodie. I particularly liked the racing woodie and I'll make a better one for the new CC. With the new one, I just added 4... uh, unique corner towers. I'm still deciding on how to do the great hall/keep so it doesn't look like total butt. Not much progress yet, but here:
