Yay, first post!
Anyway, apparently that site made a story out of nothing. I asked the people over at AllEarsNet about it, and this is what they had to say:
"We heard about this as well, but on further investigation it appears it was actually a non-event, which is why we
did not write about it.
Apparently, each night after Illuminations they have to blow off the extra propane, and it creates quite a bang.
For some reason, the other day they blew off this propane during the day, which caused some alarm among folks who
weren't familiar with the procedure. Though it created an explosion, it seems it wasn't anything out of the ordinary --
just the timing of it was unusual.
Hope this helps."
Keep in mind, I haven't been to the park since the alleged incident, but I do find it just a bit funny that the local media hasn't jumped all over this. Because you know how much they just love to jump all over anything the least bit negative.
So I'd have to agree and say that it's nothing.
