Thanks for posting these! I've been to Youtube, but I've never seen the commercials, unfortunately. As I remember, at least some of the 1970s commercials involved quite a bit of animation. I remember that the 1976 commercial was based on the artwork from the brochure and featured Cyrus Cosmo in the Chute Out. That brochure is probably my all-time amusement park favorite, in that the imaginative art really encourages one to use his mind to imagine what the park is like. Does anyone have brochures for all of the 1970s? I'd love to see 1970 thru 1976 again! Thanks, Louis

Yes, I did too- there was a theme park site that was swallowed up by rollercoaster.com, but the theme park site had beautiful old photos of six flags over texas, including construction photos and conception artwork for the different areas of the park. I've found a few brochures, including the beautiful 1976 brochure - the artwork is magnificent! I remember getting the brochure at my local TG&Y in Oklahoma in March of 1976, thinking how excellent it was. The artwork sure inspired my imagination, much more than the later ones with photos did. I also found the 1978, 1979, and 1980 brochures and am in the process of scanning them. How do I post them here? Regards, Louis
