Just thought I'd start a discussion about the new Thomas Land theme park being built at Edaville USA.
For those who haven't heard, remember those Thomas Towns (now Whistlestop Park) at Six Flags, or the Thomas Lands at Drayton Manor and Fuji-Q Highland? Well, this new park, being built in Carver, Massachusetts, is going to be the biggest of them all, at a whopping 11.5 ACRES.
Surprising, ain't it?
So far, 14 attractions have been confirmed, including a 20-minute ride on a life-size Thomas (it's unknown if this is going to use the replicas built by Metallbau Emmeln or the Day Out with Thomas replica they've had for the past few years), and several Zamperla built attractions, such as the Bertie and Harold rides from Six Flags, the Cranky Drop Tower, the WInston aerial ride, the Blue Mountain Engines and the Troublesome Trucks roller coaster at Drayton Manor, the Bulstrode ride from Drayton Manor and Fuji-Q, a Knapford Station replica with gift shop, a Brendam Docks-themed Food and Beverage shop, a Tidmouth Sheds replica (labeled "Roundhouse Theater"), and a few others.
Work started in June, while the groundbreaking was done in August. ATM, no other construction pics have been posted, but you can see the size of the area in this video:
(go to the 6:45 point of the video to see the area it's being built on).
I'm personally very excited for the new park, and I can't wait to see what they have up their sleeves for it! It looks exceptionally better than the Six Flags areas and Drayton Manor combined!
