Being my home park I feel like I underappreciated BGE. As seen in this trip report. The park is impeccable. It shows the evolution of the theme park from decade to decade, it's absolutely beautiful, and for those us who are there consistently you come find out that the park has several 'hidden' areas that really show off the park's beauty and are just unique.
I know I sometimes underappreciated the place, however, I am so thankful this place is my home park. I personally don't mind the lack of theming of BGE's roller coaster because I considering the environment the ride is set in as theming as well as props and such.
The Big Bad Wolf and Alpengeist are themed very well with extra props and the artificial environment and such. I think Apollo's Chariot's location just speak for itself. It's massive as the lift ascends toward the sun before the fall back down to earth.
I personally like Griffon better than SheiKra having ridden both. I don't mind Griffon's lack of theming because it fits into the area so well. I personally think Griffon has a more interesting layout than SheiKra due to Griffon's second Immelmann and the return trip back to the station after the MCBR where there is a lot of surprising airtime on the two small bunny hops.
BGE has caused me to be an Arrow lover for a while now, and therefore I love the LNM and BBW. I am also so frustrated I missed Drachen Fire. I could care less if it was as rough as people said it was, I just wanted to ride this beautiful electric blue monster.
I personally like AC better than Nitro, however, my only ride on Nitro was in the pouring down rain. That will change later this month though so we'll see what I think then. I personally like Montu better than Alpengeist, however, I really have a strong appreciation for this roller coaster.
Anyways, fabulous photo trip report. Glad you all had a great time.
