Kings Dominion (KD) Discussion Thread

I'm not sure that POV even does justice. The airtime over those hills that everyone bitched and moaned about looks epic. The transitions that everyone is fretting about with the OTSRs also look amazingly smooth. On Maverick POVs you can see how it's a quick jerk but it seems more gentle on Intimidator 305.

According to weatherbug, Friday - Monday : Mostly clear, lows in the mid 40's highs in the 80's.

IM going April 7th and am going to ride all day. I hope it is everything it is hyped up to be.

I don't even know why I am excited to go! The last few parks i have gone have been a let down. I miss the feeling of my guts in my chest, and being blasted off into only god knows where.

I'll be there around four for a quickie if the line allows for it...

I will be there with a few Kings Island friends. We are also going to Carowinds, SFOG, and Dollywood the days afterwards. Expect a huge PTR probably Tuesday.

I'll be there by noon at the latest.

I wish I was a little bit closer. 6 hours just for the day is a tad too far. If it were 4, that's do-able, but 6 is just slightly over the limit for me. I have to wait until August to ride this, when the line is probably going to be 457389573984798 miles long and it's going to be 800 degrees out. Oh well, I'll be looking forward to reading reviews, looking at PTRs and watching videos! Hope everyone has fun!

Ill be there bright and early tomorrow and make sure to share pics/videos with everyone once I get home...then again on fri and sat... and again next fri. The season is finally here...its been a long time coming, lol...

I am going to make my visit on Monday or Tuesday [April 4 or 5.] I going to hit Busch Gardens and Kings Dominion over Spring Break in hopes the crowds are light.

Suggested routes: US-52 E and I-64 E, 537 mi, 9 hours 29 mins

I think I just might go for it. I have Friday off and I love being impulsive.

^ You're not the only one who does that. I can just wake up one morning and end up somewhere 4 or so hours away.
