It would be nice to be able to have the template before the contest starts.

Did you read what I posted? I want the contest to start next Friday. If I post the template now, some people will start early. I posted two pictures of the whole template, so I could avoid someone saying that they need to see tha template before they enter.

I have an idea in my head of what I want the coaster to do, so I want to see if it will fit or not. Something similar happened to the tight fit contest, I had my idea, built it, but it wouldn't work.

If not, I would be signed up for no reason. Putting more work on yourself, but that's fine with me.

If people were to start early....so what? I guess I don't see the point with people having different lifestyles with work, family, etc. and having more time would be beneficial for a good coaster.

Eric, my GForces have been altered to be more realistic. I use a config file that makes the colors accurately represent real life.

Could you please give us actual numbers instead of colors? Because whats red on my machine isnt on yours. So for the sake of both realism and for rating, could we have some numbers?

Like...

Verts

+5.5

-1.2

-+1.2 Lats

Those sound reasonable. Makes the ride realistic but with room to spare.

I'm going to go for this one, the Seabreeze contest has a huge deadline so I can put that on the back burner for this. I like all these contests, they're getting me back into building for NL and taking away my designers block by forcing parameters. HA.

Count me in, but one question:

For the Gs...it is well known that sometimes running coasters at 50% or 25% speed will result in odd G spikes that don't show up at 100%. What will be the judging standard?

Some forces also vary depending on the simulator...for instance, on my latest coaster, the highest amount of positive G's I experienced was 5.5, while other members saw up to 6.

Maybe instead of putting them in the rules, you can post those forces as a sort of 'guideline'?
